Many thanks FF, now this ones for the road, and that's my lot Charlie Boy!............... please log in to view this image
The ****fest is not just the media, some swans fans are revelling in it by creating pointless threads, as can be attested by phil's latest offering, each one detracts from the achievement from our club in getting past Chelsea and to wembley. Still thanks for the post and lets see if we can actually win the thing now I'm sure most neutrals will go for Bradford as they are the small lower division club, I know I would if they weren't playing us at wembley
Well hasn't this caused a stir? And that's the problem. I'm more in the Ivor/ Dragon camp than the Jager camp on this (or are they all camp?). Both sides were at fault but this would never have happened had not the boy (young man) done his job properly. He didn't throughout the game and there was a lot at stake for both teams - possibly Chelsea's only chance of silverware which is a huge deal for that Club. Any neutral looking at the incident would see it for what it was. A ball boy with a game plan (who'd foolishly boasted about his intentions beforehand) and a player who wanted the ball back who overstepped the mark resulting in the lad rolling around just like his idols on the pitch. Maybe he's a fan of Chico. What I've seen from our own posters about a 'vicious thug assaulting a child' made me laugh out loud. I don't give a **** about Hazard - he'll serve his time and has apologised with good grace. What I do care about is: (1) There's an impression, even if this is incorrect, because of the words used in his tweet that he may have been instructed to time waste. This reflects on the Club - badly. It doesn't help when Brendan Rodgers says “I know Charlie well, he used to do it great for me. He was taught well.” (2) The world and his wife aren't celebrating our wonderful achievement but are laughing. It's all over Soccer am this morning. We'll forever be known as the Club that has cheating, acting ballboys not the Club that is living a fairytale. All that, my friends, is at least in part, down to that kid, bless his little cotton socks.
Knackered I'm not defending Morgan on this, he's acted the idiot it's that simple. But so has hazard in this case, he was the one who kicked out whether intentionally or not. The defence of him is flawed as he did what he did, how many times have I heard 'I didn't mean to' ? that is not a defence he did it and that is it. And may I add that Morgan apologised as well so thought that was the end of the matter, but the fa has got their nose into it, and as the police has received complaints there may still be charges in that area. As I mentioned in the thread this will be passed to the cps who may decide its in the public interest to lay charges. Regardless of what either party wants.
Of course they are, but so is everyone else perpetuating this crap, people rightly blame the media but its people on the net doing it as well, just look at twatter and facefuck for example. I am still amazed that the fa didn't try and do Williams for murder the other week. People have ****ing nothing else to do and its sad as ****!
Le Tiss has just said on Soccer Saturday "The two most important parties have put this behind them why can't everyone else? We should be talking about Swansea's achievement in getting to the final."
I agree with the majority of what you say KJ, but I think that 100% of Clubs would have instructed their their ball boys to do the same - but they won't admit it! Glenn Hoddle has stated it. Brendan almost has. Ally McCoist and Lennon said ballboys go missing. If Morgan had rushed over and thrown the ball back in quickly the East Stand would have gone berserk!!
****fest it is Foss and I can't believe the OTT reaction, especially from some of our own. I couldn't give a **** whether a laid on the ball for a couple of seconds or not, or whether Hazard (the twat) intentionally kicked him or not. Things have got bad, the boy has shot no one, he didn't hurl vile racist abuse at anyone, he didn't punch, kick, maim, hurt or threaten anyone, in his head he was trying to help The Mighty Swans and it back-fired. If blame and recrimination is to be apportioned then blame the witch-finder press led by king kunt Adrian Durham (a daily mail columnist, need I say more). He stoked this little flame into a raging fire by using the incident to push his papers pernicious agenda. Or, blame the FA for dawdling to a decision on further punishment for Hazard. What's their agenda ? they've had many a spat with Chelsea haven't they? Cole = behavior and shooting, Terry = racism, furor re his England captaincy after he shagged his 'mates' ex Chelsea, the whole team = accusations made by players of racial abuse by ref to player Just a few. It took the FA 3 days, 3 fekkin days of media frenzy and vitriol, to make the incredibly wrong decision to punish Hazard (Chelsea) further. The decision to drop everything should have taken them 30 seconds, time to watch a replay. But after three days they decided to take further action which will drag this on for ever. Their decision stinks of retribution. I think Chelsea knew this was a probability and that's why they've been covering their arses by apologizing to anyone who'd listen. Caught up in this witch-hunt is a teenager, and his family, who has been strapped to a whipping post to be ridiculed not for his actions but because of who he is; according to many he is a spoilt rich kid brat twat ****er little ****, boy those Meme Monkeys have been fruitful in their abuse haven't they. To top it off his life has been threatened as well as his families. At the end of the day a boy laid on a ball, got booted for he efforts, was castigated by a Victorianesque, Daily Mail reading, life fearing public who deemed it acceptable to attack a minor, by boot or by slander and threaten his life. Many of the posts I've read are far more despicable and offensive than anything the ball-boy has done.
I agree completely with stumpy and Jager on this. It seems a lot of people on here are siding with Hazard and slagging off the lad just because they fear Swanseas reputation being tarnished. This is a forum with many other teams fan participating. Saying what you think the public want to hear. 1. It was a goal kick. Hazard should have been near the half way line. 2. Hazard chased him down, put pressure on Charlie, there was contact. Charlie fell. Held onto the ball. 3. Chelsea Should have complained if they thought the Ballboys were time wasting. Added time. 4. Racist remarks and physical violence towards players and crowd is condoned. So why isn't this. Makes me sick, the double standards. 5. Players time waste all the time, still don't deserve violence. You know I could go and on and on how wrong some of you are on here. But hey you want to brown nose the rest of the communities fans. So be it. For some to accept the death threats towards him are even more despicable. I am more embarrassed by some of our fans viewpoints than anything that Charlie did.
All this talk of time wasting, i was watching the replay of this and from the time the ball crossed the line to the ball boy getting pushed over you could not count to 4. If Hazard had'nt run over and shoved him the ball would have been back in play in record time. Maybe the ball boy was a little childish after being shoved to the ground but tbh if that happened to me when i was 17 i probably would have reacted a lot worse. I also think the FA should be taking action against the shove not the toe poke. Imagine what would have happened if a player runned over and pushed fergie to the ground.
Stumpy and Tom exactly right fellas, it's not about saying Morgan was right or wrong, clearly he made a meal of it I think. But what followed a kick is something that the player will be punished for, then it's the end of the matter. It's honestly made me feel sick some of the comments I've seen on here about this kid, I would bet none of them have ever set eyes on him before ! Brendan said he was a good kid who loves Swansea City, I tend to side with that!
Looks like we're never going to agree. I don't give a **** about Hazard and neither should any of you, even though we all agree he was at fault. For what it's worth it's good to see most think the FA are over the top. Looks like some of our fans think it's OK for our ball boys to time waste because every other team does it. I don't. Aren't we better than that? Apparently not - we're just like the rest of them. Rodgers didn't say he's a great kid. He said "Charlie used to do a great job for me doing that". Very very sad. Thing is, that admission tells me this kid / man may well have been under instruction from the Club all along. And you're OK with this after all our Club has achieved? I agree that the witch hunt on him is over the top and wealth in this context is irrelevant but when you're bragging on a public forum like Twitter about how much money you splash about and the fact you drive a new Audi A1 as well as the fact you're only being a ball boy so you can cheat, then he can't really complain. Times are hard out there and this kid repeatedly puts his head above the parapet on Twitter. Just look at some of his posts. As one Chelsea fan said, it does leave a bad taste. People who have no humility about them tend to get it in the neck when they misbehave. I don't dislike this lad because he's rich. I dislike him because his antics have reflected badly on my Club. Whenever I see the jokes today on shows like Soccer AM I'm cringeing. It was our day on Wednesday and instead of everyone praising us for a wonderful achievement they're taking the piss. And yes, that's made me ****ing angry. Nothing to do with reading the Daily Mail or being Victorian - it's to do with the image of the Club I love and the way we go about things being tarnished by an arrogant kid who thought he could do what he liked because of who his Dad happens to be. I can't think of any other lad who reaches 18 this year wanting or even being asked to be a ball boy. Shame on those who think he should have a pat on the back.
I couldn't care a monkeys regarding Chelsea or any other team ethics, what I do care about is our reputation, that has been damaged by one Rich Brat, have we really come down to this? Bringing the game into disrepute with cheap time wasting tricks at a Semi-Cup final, that was being shown world wide? We have prided ourselves by climbing out of the Petty era with dignity, playing the game the right way, and winning admirers along the way over the years, and all undone by one little ****! By the way stumpy I don't agree with your view, needless to say or that of the excusing Jager, typical of the Welsh to always look for a scapegoat, and not look at their own failings in all this. Easy to pile it on Hazard, who in my view was set up in all this by the little ****!...........
I'll go along with some of that, your excuses for the little **** was enough to make me spew!..................
You are over reacting phil, nothing has been undone by Morgan the only people reacting to this are people like you I am afraid others don't give a toss and have already moved on. A 5 minute wonder like Williams and the kick that almost killed rvp. In fact it's probably done our club the reverse, and it has put us on the map, I know from Russian TV that it was reported with great humour, the reason I know this as I speak Russian. If you look at it not like a shocked grandfather like the fa does you will see it in a different light. Most others want to move on phil, but you keep rehashing this crap with your copy and paste on a multitude of threads and creating a new one here despite there being loads here already. Try moving on and supporting our club and moving on
