I assume it'll be a very flat Gp, and probably quite wide by f1 standards. At least street circuits stop tilke designing his usual rubbish
Is it true it's not been designed by Tilke? If that is the case, this is the first new track in 12 years to not be penned by him (assuming it gets a slot).
I think they should do exactly that, give points for the results of qualifying and practise sessions, and declare the overall winner "World Racing Champion". Sure, none of us would get it and the title would be inaccurate and undeserved, but that's the surest way to captivate the Yanks and their $$$.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/formula_one/15440153.stm It's been confirmed by the mayor now for 2013. What he actually means is it may go ahead.
BBC Exec: are you sure you are going to put a story up that is not Hamilton Related? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula_one/15440153.stm BBC Exec: oh..OK
How does that work? Are they somehow going to use the streets available to form corners high speed corners like Eau Rouge, yet have the barriers so close anyone who hits them will be killed instantly? And whilst all the most glamorous people in the world watch from yachts?
So its confirmed and we will get the new 2nd US GP in 2013 but are we not also getting the Russian GP that year too?
They're dropping all the circuits the fans don't want don't worry. You know, circuits like Spa, Suzuka, Silverstone, Monza, Canada....
Good Ive been pleaing to Bernie for years to get rid of them. Lets bring F1 to countries that actually have a passion for F1 instead of messing around with oil rich Belgium
