Anything that stops cars gong around the track during a race is a bad idea.
What would be better is if some of the marshalls and circuit organisers were better trained so incidents can be dealt with quicker.
Sometimes it seems to take forever just to move a car out of the way simply because it's taking too long to get equipment there or the marshalls not knowing how to use the equipment properly.
An Indycar style system where there are recovery trucks at strategic places around the track would work much better so they can be on the scene and getting the cars off quickly. It seems ridiculous that it can sometimes take 4/5 laps just to get one broken down car into a safe place.
