It may not be his last in F1 but will be his last at Mercedes. His choices could be limited and he may take a personal view to bail out. He is fast but lacks the tyre management and race performance under pressure. A shame, he is a nice guy which probably will be the cause of his downfall. I am sure he will enjoy racing elsewhere though.
Disappointing but inevitable conclusion. Nevertheless, still disappointing that Haas, F1, and the FIA have barely addressed the issue. Compared to the way NASCAR dealt with Kyle Larson, it's not a great look for F1.
The angry keyboard warriors may cost them in the long-run, if sponsors are reluctant to commit to the team. It was a risky choice in the first place given his previous knobheadery.
Sitting on the fence, eating popcorn. Bit of a joke to me tbh, if she didn't have a problem with it I can't see what the fuss is about. People being outraged for the sake of it, or is there a dead body I'm not aware of?
I think the problem is the message it sends to young boys is that it's acceptable behaviour to assault women! The video clip had no context and doesn't show the relationship between the people. So potentially sends our wrong message if no one questioned it. I think there have been way too many women that have been assaulted by men in power that felt forced to keep quiet. Now the world has changed. I think that he just needs to grow up and be steered in the right moral direction. That may be a bit different to the one he has been brought up in. Thinking back to Max he has grown up a fair bit and seems to have altered his behaviour a little away from his upbringing. He still has some way to go and maybe he never will but he is getting better. Hopefully Maz will be helped along the way.
It looks like she might not have been as willing as first implied, and likely under the influence. So it's all a bit iffy. I wouldn't have touched him with a 10 foot pole, let alone have him in the team. But money rules... They'll prolly wind up owning the team at some point.
Wonder if the likes of Liberty and the FIA even blushed... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-55467414
There are so many wrongs in the world. I won't bore you with a long version of a conversation I had with my neighbour who was a somewhat infamous MP (infamous later). In summary a difference of opinion about Iraq before its invasion. Intervention is not an option, trade barriers and sanctions leave the door open to non democratic countries to cuddle up. Our own democracy, that we cherish, has been long in the making. Greece 400 to 500 year BC was the birth of democracy and several times was abandoned. The only option for change is education over time, achieved through exposure to alternatives. While injustices continue, and are even heart breaking, nothing in history suggests we can bring changes about overnight. Through exposure, education and tolerance changes will happen. Unfortunately, those changes require patience, just as our own democracy did. And like us all, I do feel for the lady imprisoned, diplomamcy is the option most likely to reap rewards. Yes we can feel self righteous by boycotting by they will find another friend, a friend who isn't our friend. That said, as a kid I once beat three bullies up early in my school career, I was never once bullied throughout my school days thereafter. It was a satisfying feeling but it was me who was called into the Heads office and I do think they simply found another kid to bully.
The Crown Prince has a problem, balancing the wants of the religious conservatives with the progressives is tricky. I think he wants to modernize and become more secular, bring Saudi Arabia into the 21st century, but any misstep could easily make him the next Reza Pahlavi, which wouldn't be good for us.
It's being reported that Lewis will become Sir Lewis in New Years Honours list as Boris added him: https://www.planetf1.com/news/sir-lewis-hamilton-f1s-sixth-knight/ It will be funny hearing commentators calling him Sir....
