Their first car is easily the best. Black, practically unbranded, just the menacing words 'Concept by Mercedes Benz'
Shape wise it's the nicest, but I like a bit of colour on a race car, so one of the 2-tone RBR liveries, so either the 1997 or 2000.

Is it my imagination or does the Hass colour scheme shown today look a bit like the Lotus black and gold?
I am guessing this isn't the real livery but you never know. please log in to view this image From https://www.gpfans.com/en/articles/4081/haas-confirm-reveal-date-for-new-rich-energy-livery/
They're not exactly flush according to their Accounts. Then again Amazon apparently make about £3.50 in the UK so... accounts.
I would imagine Hass have done their due diligence. I can't imagine they haven't had an upfront payment. The unveiling probably gets the most publicity of the year for Hass, well till they have a crash!!! I would guess they have a front loaded contract. Unlike the UK and it's rail franchises that always appear to be rear loaded and people wonder why the contracts get handed back to the Gov!!!!!
Someone found their accounts a few months ago, where they claimed about £500 in cash reserves (there's no unit missing there...), and about £1.7m in assets. They claim their manufacturing plant is worth £50m. Either way, odd for a company of that scale to have the cash to sponsor an F1 team. Gene Haas claims to have already received cash though, not just promises.
Has echo's of Sauber's sponsorship deal back in 1994 with a German company called Broker, I think they were in to publishing. Practically unknown by anyone before the deal was announced, little history or seemingly any credible financial information on them at the time. They then defaulted on payments shortly into the season, but by then they had got a lot of publicity. Hopefully it's not a deal structured in the same way that Lola's MasterCard deal was, in that the team would effectively get a share of revenue generated by the sponsorship success. Didn't go well for Lola that..............
Consensus is they’re gonna run a camouflaged livery for testing a la Red Bull in recent years. I would love to see a slightly different scheme for the season though for the Merc.
