I suspect Alonso is telling the truth.

in other rumours, Kimi to stay at Ferrari and Leclerc moving to Haas to replace Grosjean

You see i could have believed Alonso, then he doubled down and said he was offered contracts in 2007,2009, 2011, 2013 and twice this year.

Now I'm just reminded of that old James Hunt commentary, "and all i can say to that is bullshit"

Either that or his career decisions are even worse than i thought.

I think Alonso is speaking the truth , simply because he has demanded an apology .

that's the way I see it to, but RBR will probably counter with 'he wasn't offered a contract'

Ericsson's seat is as safe as Stroll's, the owner is his Dad's best buddy.

Oh I hope that's true. Both force India drivers deserve their drives. At the moment it's looking like Ocon is out and he just doesn't deserve that. Hopefully today reminds the consortium what having good drivers can do for you.

I had to laugh today- Hamilton has come out defending Ocon and saying “unfortunately too many teams decide drivers on who has the money” - and I agree with his defence as Ocon has looked pretty decent up against Perez who too is very good.

However Lewis is completely ignoring the fact of course that it’s teams like Mercedes that force the hands of smaller teams to find ways to finance themselves in the current formula, which sadly for them means compromising on drivers.

Of course it isn’t Lewis’ fault but it shows the naivety that runs through F1.

Also Mercedes should have signed Ocon instead of Bottas...

I thought Ocon was going to mclaren ?

No way he won’t have a seat next year .

Even if it means sticking him in the Williams .

He said he's signed a contract. Just not who to, we are assuming FI given what happened and what he did, but who knows. Haas is no worse a bet than Force India at the moment

    Yes that's true .

Maybe despite all he has done for the team , MERC are insisting on OCON staying as part of the closer working deal ?

None of us know , but I find it interesting .

Well I suppose maybe a Mercedes B team needs a Mercedes driver rather than 2 former Ferrari academy drivers

    LeClerc is going to Haas

    Kubica will drive for Williams

Perez will stay at Force India

Le Clerc at Haas is logical if Ferrari are keeping Kimi. Should bump him a little higher up the grid being in Ferrari B Instead of Ferrari C.

However, Ferrari having these ‘pet’ teams and Mercedes having Force India and highly likely Williams is just an absolute disgrace.
