Above averagely exciting Australian Grand Prix, largely because of accidents and errors, Rosberg extends his winning streak.

But the big story is the Haas team getting a 6th place finish through Grossjean in their first race. Wouldn't surprise me if the yanks teach a few teams a bit of a lesson this season, and spend considerably less money than the average in the process.

Ferrari were in command up to Alonso's crash, Vettel seemed destined to win but the hold-up blew their strategy and Rosberg cashed in. Hopefully this signals a far more competitive championship than last season's boring Mercedes 1-2 even though that was how today ended up. Alonso must have thanked his lucky stars for the safety cell he was in, the rest of the car was wrecked...

I used to like F1 but the last few years I have lost interest. Far too many processions instead of exciting racing.

The prices they charge for entry are astronomical and the product is not worth the money they charge.

What's different with the football? Except Leicester this season everything else rings very true.

Think I paid something like 490 euros plus just to see one race. At least you would get half a season of football for the same money.

I've taken to recording the race and watching on fast forward, makes it a bit more interesting!
Needless to say I rewound and watched the Alonso crash a few times just to try and figure out how he managed to get himself out seemingly unharmed! Amazing
