Yep. It must have been so frustrating for Red Bull to see that Renault were just not putting the money into the PU development. But Mateschitz's great motivational technique of criticising to motivate is not the way to go with a 'partner', employee maybe has proved to produce the opposite results! My guess is that building 9 has some good results and Red Bull don't really have any other choice. It will be interesting on both power output and performance in 2016. Can't wait
Mateschitz said two days ago, in a magazine owned by him, there is no chance they will be using Renault.
Honda was also envisaged as a potential partner but the possibility was quickly squashed by Ron Dennis' desire to preserve McLaren's exclusive status, while Mateschitz himself believed that working with the Japanese manufacturer would only be jumping from the frying pan into the fire. "There is no chance of a deal with Honda" he said. "Red Bull would probably come off worse if they switched from Renault."
At last, a return to more traditional noses. Thank goodness for that. Not sure about the rear wing though.
From what's been said Red Bull will take Renaults new 12 token updated PU and then go from there with Illien, who was one of several Red Bull / Renault employees. The PU will either be called an infiniti PU or one of Red Bulls partners, that'll be a money branding thing.
If so, you can be sure RedBull will mow down the competition, but if not we're in for another year of cutting remarks from team management about their PU.
Brabham's 'fan' device was declared illegal in 1978. As the blades also create their own suction then surely this is illegal too?
Ferrari won't give RedBull an engine, to avoid being beaten and this statement are mutually exclusive. I believe the former, so therefore this one means either: We won't be as slow as you might think, please sponsor us Or Ferrari are using us as a test bed for new technology, we'll be inconsistent or unreliable, but maybe occasionally very quick.
