Isn't that the thing they did for a Champ car race back in 2002 or something, very messy looking.

'last' race on old track, 2007 A1 GP:

If they're concerned about there being minimal run-off for the high-speeds at the Peraltada I don't see why they can't add a small chicane down that back straight to reduce speed going into it (it's practically what they're designed for!). It still wouldn't be as elegant as the older layout obviously, but it'd be a right sight better than what's currently planned.

Rumours from the Guardian:

McLaren are keen on the Williams driver Valtteri Bottas, which explains why they have been stalling on offering the veteran Jenson Button a fresh contract for 2015.

Speculation that Vettel might be on the move is wide of the mark.

Ferrari are keen on Ricciardo – and Marussia’s Jules Bianchi – as they contemplate paying off Kimi Raikkonen for the second time.

I heard a rumour that Alonso was seen at Williams, could he go there while Bottas goes to McLaren? I wonder what massa would think of that?

Bottas is better off at Williams. Part of the family now.

Even if he did leave Williams, what (other than cash) would tempt him into going to Mclaren I don't know. Williams look like a team on the up, Mclaren still need to turn themselves around. Williams have the dominant Mercedes engines, nobody knows how powerful/reliable Honda power will turn out to be.

Assuming no seats open up at Red Bull or Mercedes, there's only really Ferrari that would make sense rather than Williams right now.

Honda and Red Bull appear to be combining in several joint ventures outside of F1 at the moment. With Honda putting its engine base in Milton keynes (RBR) rather than Woking (McL) surely its only a matter of time until McLarens one year exclusive is up and Honda moves to power Red Bull from 2016 as well?

In which case I feel the performance of the 2015 McLaren may be damaged as it is turned into more of a test bed :(
