Kobayashi to Caterham? He has been seen at Caterham. Looks like he will team up with Ericsson! http://richlandf1.com/?p=17589 Please be true
That would be good if it's true, and Caterham give him a car in the midfield, otherwise he will be wasted without anyone to Banzai!!!

I think he deserves that really, despite his financial backing probably helping. Am I missing something and the Russian investment went away, or are Sirotkin's backers happy to see him as a reserve for a year? Final nail in Di Resta's F1 coffin then, the only seats left are at Caterham, and possibly Marussia.
Compared to Force India and Williams, Sauber's 2014 line up is looking very weak. Personally i wasn't impressed at all by Gutierrez's rookie season. He had one good race to show for a season. Still, definitely the lesser of two evils when we could have had Sirotkin.
I'm pleased to hear this. I think he has shown a lot of potential since he got to grips with being in F1. I hope he can keep learning as quickly next season.
Well the Sauber wasn't great at the start of the season. But as the car got better so did Esteban. Will be interesting to see if he can beat Sutil who is a pretty average driver.
Oh dear, it looks like Renault (and Mercedes) are in trouble, they can't compete with Ferrari on engine weight and have to resort to excuses: But don't worry Renault fans, because your engine is supposed to have good fuel efficiency Or maybe not... Let's look on the bright side though, at least we know James Allison was wrong when he said Ferrari and Mercedes would have the advantage. Of course Renault will design their engine entirely for Newey - just look at these huge exhaust wings, clearly designed for Newey's tight packaging: please log in to view this image
Please tell me where any Mercedes (personnel) requested the weight increase to happen find me someone like Lowe or Brawn say they want a weight increase lol, that's right you'll find no one in Mercedes breaking a sweat apart from the drivers being told to suck it up and lose the weight like all the other drivers have been told to have as much of an advantage as possible. So far the only team who requested it to be increased is Newey, even then that still wont be enough as Vettel is the lightest guy on the grid + chassis advantages against the other 2 engines. Mercedes are one of the teams rumored like Ferrari to have denied the change as cited in Autosport. The only way Mercedes would bargain a weight increase would be to also increase the width of the rear tyres to give Mercedes a massive advantage over the rest by EVEN MOAH! Still laughing at these 'exotic materials' in this Ferrari engine I read so much about from the Tifosi. I also read on the internet that 'exotic materials' are actually banned and strictly forbidden in F1 rules and are even regulated on which component is made from, like Aluminium for example which every team can get their hands on last time I checked...
Mercedes wouldn't do that - it would ruin the hype. But look at what McLaren (one of Mercedes' customers) has to say: "there are grounds [to raise the weight limit], but F1 doesn't work like that. Self interest will prevail. Teams that think it's OK will block any change". Mr Whitmarsh goes on to say: "We have raised the minimum weight but the new powertrains are heavier than people expected and now have a situation where heavier drivers could be a disadvantage." McLaren and Williams voted for a 10kg increase in weight limit, exposing Mercedes. Lol you think wider rear tyres would give the Mercedes engine an advantage? Do you know that 10 of the 11 teams vetoed the wider tyre, and they vetoed because it would affect their designs of the cars, nothing to do with engines. Mercedes didn't ask for wider tyres, they were open to the change: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/23493372 We will see. What's clear is that Ferrari have no problems with the weight limit. Ferrari have the advantage in other areas as well:
Kimi and Fernando have been given an incentive to win next years championship. They will be awarded a $1.6 million LaFerrari!!
I just wet my pants Who knows where they'll be, it's a complete reboot, they could end up with what turns out to be the most superior engine and fight at the front end, I'm looking forward to this season more than any other, it's going to throw up some crazy results (although probably none as crazy as Pastor winning)
I still think RBR are going to come out on top next year. I doubt they'll walk it like 2013, and they may not come out of the blocks first, but Newey is a genius. First half of the season could see some bizarre results though. I might take a punt on Massa for the first race.
Nothing official yet, but sounds promising. Is their new title sponsor a different mobile phone network? Really can't believe they've taken so long to announce it. Also sounds odd referring to it as their "traditional orange", when all I can remember is the grey/silver and the red/white.
I think there is a very good chance this is true. They have delayed the announcement of the title sponsor because they couldn't show it on a car that's primary colours belong or associated to ex backers (Silver/Chrome = Mercedes, Rocket Red = Vodaphone) Their Road cars get launched in "Traditional McLaren Orange" so it would make full sense to have their F1 car in the same colours. So Im gonna go all Benson on yo'ass and say this is fact before its announced
Red Bull will be strong again but I'm unsure if they will come out on top just because of the technical staff they have lost in recent months. I think it will hamper them, Newey has already shown signs of worry about this years regulations.
