According to Gazzetta, the contract with Kimi was signed on Monday by e-mail, and as we have said it's for 1 year with an option for another. Apparently some red tape between lawyers would be the cause of delay in the official announcement of Kimi as a Ferrari driver. According to Gazzetta, Ferrari wants to score points in the WCC, which among other things are many millions of Euros via jose luis EDIT: BlogF1.it reporting that Kimi has told Lotus he's leaving, and Hulk will be his replacement. They were the ones to reveal Allison leaving and Chester replacing him, so I think their sources at Lotus are reliable.
Hulk to Lotus, Fan Bloody Tastic! looking forward to him smashing his way to a few podiums and win(s) in 2014 (assuming Lotus can give him a decent car)!
have you noticed how uptight Di Resta has been lately? his performances and the team have let him down while his rivals Hulkenberg and Ricciardo are moving up. He has missed an opportunity (again).
He's just so unlikable and inconsistent. All drivers think they are amazing but he needs to realise that Force India could be as high as he's getting so he should stop upsetting them.
given your theory of Vettel being unpopular as a result of him winning (in the other thread) Imagine if Di Resta was a winner?!!
His whole interview would be about how HE won the race, with HIS strategty and HIS feedback and HIS dedication and commitment to the team.
Mathematically everyone would love him as it would be a double negative, in reality someone would assassinate him

Button is not actually contracted to Mclaren for next year yet. I don't think it's likely he'll move anywhere else but it is just a possibility, given he was tentatively linked with the Ferrari seat before they chose Raikkonen.
Raikkonen to bring Beer to Ferrari! (I didn't steal that joke ) http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/109844
Beginning to wonder whether Ferrari's game is just to sign all of Lotus' key players to disrupt them ahead of next year
Isn't there a staff limit for teams? Eventually Ferrari are going to have lots of designers but no one to actually build the car But in all seriousness its going to be a struggle to keep them all on track, we often get genius idea's in my field yet no one seems to realise that parts don't just float of their own accord and there needs to be some sort of structure to hold it all together.
First you have a quote from Charlie Whiting talking about the laptimes in 2014: I don't know how much information the FIA have from the teams on the new engines, but it's quite worrying that Renault think they'll be even quicker than Whiting's prediction: And it's even more worrying that the great Rory Byrne thinks laptimes will be 4-5 seconds slower: I don't think 50kg adds anywhere near 4-5 seconds, and the fact that Byrne attributes this loss in laptime to the extra weight rather than the engine suggests that perhaps Ferrari believe everyone is in a similar position in terms of engine power - but that clearly isn't be the case if you read what Whiting and Taffin have to say. And if you look at the video that Mercedes uploaded of their V6 at Monza, you'll notice the laptime is actually faster than current laptimes.... Perhaps Byrne is deliberately lying so as not to give other teams any info on Ferrari's progress? Or maybe he's talking about race pace laptimes while Taffin is talking about qualifying when engines are at peak power? I really hope Ferrari haven't messed up their engine. The most recent quote from Marmorini was: "Considering that just six months shall start the championship in 2014 I would say that the basic choices have already been made all. E 'already long time that we are working on this project. We are currently finalizing the last details, especially in terms of the production engine in the car. We are pleased to work so far, and I would say that everything in line with the schedule. "
