I'd say we are a lot better than League 1 standard Tiger. I'd say the FFA is at Championship level

Have to disagree Dan. There are few here (at present0 who would get a game with a Championship Club.

Firstly, don't take any notice of Quill.
Secondly, the USA will cr@p all over Australia with their bid - if it is taken from Qatar.

P.S. June and July are right in the middle of the AFL calendar.

I think the last thing FIFA will want to do is award the U.S. a World Cup after everything our DOJ is doing to them.

Na nothing would get them to do that at this point. Peoples careers are dependant on getting a whole bunch of convictions out of this. They will try to make it a bigger list of people indicted the more the better for them.

I hope you are right mate, this organization is rotten to the core and needs to be sorted.
Perhaps too late to effect the current Russia and Qatar hosting as I believe work has begun and there would be too big a compensation bill.

If it can be shown that a country participated in corrupt practices, and I would expect that to be the case, then any talk of compensation would or should be around that country covering the cost of sorting out the mess they have colluded to achieve. Not to mention a lengthy ban from international football.

already they say over 1200 workers have been killed making the stadiums in Qatar. Slave Labour it is at that as well. Estimate by the time the stadiums are finished over 4,500 slave workers would have died in Qatar

    Absolutely atrocious. Abominable. Criminal.

Anyone with both a brain and a conscience should refuse to have anything to do with the 2022 World Cup.

No wonder Blatter was so popular with his staff, the average salary at FIFA last year, was £158,000.00. Average ffs.

Interesting to hear and read that the FBI now have in protective custody one of the Qatar bid team
Pheadra Al-MAJID who says that Qatar will be / should be stripped of the 2022 WC after the
information and evidence she has was handed over to the FBI. <applause><applause><applause>

Bit of both mate, it's all hypothetical as Australian Rules Football will be mid way through their season when the World Cup would be (supposedly) staged.
There is also a little matter of accommodating some 5 million fans pouring into the Country which will represent an increase of some 20% of the population (estimated to be about 25 million at that stage).
Could be done with huge sponsorship, a huge government investment and co-operation from the all-powerful Australian Rules Football board of directors but I just can't see it at this stage.
My bet is that Russia will stage the 2018 World Cup whilst Qatar will have theirs taken of them with a toss-up between the US of A and England for the 2022 Cup.

World Cup attendances are about 3m, but the majority of them are residents of the nation staging the event.
