He's definitely in contention for it. Think Lewis has looked good too.

Has any team conceded as many off ugly ricochets in the box as we have?

Great effort from the team, in 90 minutes we deserved to win it.

I thought on balance mctominay was always going to get away with that cheap shot.

The bits I truly didn’t understand is how VAR did not pick up two of the most obvious dives I’ve ever seen in the first half, I think it was Eric Bailly and Orion Ighalo. Properly obvious swan dives and the slow-mo replays showed clear air. Made no difference to the result, but what’s the point of VAR?

Tettey was immense through the whole game, but all of the players were so much better, as were the tactics. The sort of performance have been wanting to see. We can fight, defend and attack and this time through 120 minutes. They should take a lot of confidence from that performance.

Yeah. To be honest I thought other than Klose (first half really struggled with clearances, second half much better until the definite red card), everyone played well.

Aarons was quiet, but solid. I thought Rupp played well to be honest, worked really hard. All the others were excellent in the circumstances, including Drmic

    That's us done ?

I'll still follow every second of the Premier League games hoping for a miracle, but ...

    Pretty much my default position

Never thought I’d say this...Drmic looked much better than Pukki today!

encouraging performance, hopefully they can bring some of that into the league and even if we ultimately go down at least go down with more fight.

Cantwell and Lewis will have garnered a few more admiring glances from PL clubs after tonight.
Both were excellent with Hernandez not far behind.
