Stockport County then 'IF' we can dispatch the Bees in the up and coming replay ?, Should be interesting and re kindles a few old memories, wasn't Stockport County the first opposition for Rovers at The Mem ? 1 - 1 the scoreline if I remember correctly and wasn't there some controversy over the height of the crossbar ? Stockport leg - end Jim Gannon is back at the helm again these days too ! I am sure our faithfull will give him a warm welcome if we do make it to round two !

Yes Delsy, good memory you have! Stockport was also the team who were doing well in L2 while we were struggling and they were due to play us at the Mem on a day where it was very bad weather but we apparently watered the pitch too and the game got postponed not long before kick off. Gannon was very angry! We won the re-arranged game and and went on a good run and secured a play off spot on the last game against Hartlepool and of course we won the play offs while Stockport missed out on the play offs and Gannon was still fuming about it :)

I so hope we beat Barnet to face Gannon. If we cant beat a team 2 divisions below us at home (Barnet) then there is something wrong with us because we shouldnt be losing games like this. We have history though dont we with teams in lower divisions beating us, especially with DC in charge! But come on, we should really be winning this. Then Stockport who are 3 divisions below us. Surely we wont get a better chance to make round 3!

Gannon used to be quite a fiery character from what I remember. Didn't they travel down for a game that was called off quite late?

IMO the next two fa cup games are extremely important for us. That is if we get two more games this season!
DC needs to raise funds to improve our squad, because he is clearly not going to be given any by the owners.
So, although we need to make our league position our top priority, DC must be aware that dismissing a cup run as unimportant, a view which he seems to have held in past seasons, is not the best option, whereas a decent run improves the financial state of the club and enhances the club's attraction to those potential signings in January.

Could the Barnet game be DC's last stand ? Would be very hard for him I think if the Bees turf us out of this years competition with Charlton away coming up so soon after......I hear Cotterill was in the corridors again on Saturday , please God no !

If they get rid of DC and I really hope they don't can we please not go for a manager that has failed numerous times at other clubs, if MS doesn't want the job maybe Lee Mansell would be a good choice. We have had to many managers here that have been sacked by other clubs and then by us, so lets give an unknown a chance
