Pretty poor show. Poor finishing but some seriously weak displays by certain players.

Was an interesting ‘line’ for that var check. Made it seem like was onside by about a yard but I’ve no idea who the line was drawn on exactly.

Not sure either team really deserved the win. We were good until about 60 mins hd then suddenly fab Hendo Nunez came on and suddenly we couldn’t pass the ball and Brighton just played through us yet again.

Fab and Hendo be back on bench for next lesgue game as once again totally anonymous and in favs case should have a 3 match ban.

Keita thiago Bajcetic showing they are the first midfield 3 so far.

Salah started alright. Second half was absolute shocker. Gakpo faded, Nunez did nothing when came on but didn’t get the ball to him so no real blame on him.

Thought defence was decent enough. Konate again quality. Gomez good until had another brain fart and turns his back to let guy flick back inside and finish

Well planned exit from the cup. Now we can focus on the Champions League, the only thing worth winning. <ok>

How can the match winning goal scorer cost 4.9m when our ineffective running around Gakpo costs more than 10 TIMES that amount?

Mitamo was 100% more effective and more dangerous yet costs a relative pittance. Money squandered on the wrong player FFS.

I know it’s early so far but I’m yet to see why we bought Gapko.

If you're being serious, give your head a massive wobble. This lot couldn't win a raffle and we can kiss goodbye to top 4

There is no denying that an on form Salah taking his chances would have us winning that tie and us well up amongst the top 4. But he’s playing really **** atm and missing easy (certainly for him) chances.

For some reason Salah is completely gone off a cliff and his recovery will determine our season. That’s the problem we face.

    next game my team is

    alisson
    trent konate gomez Robertson
    keita bajcetic thaigo
    Elliott nunez gakpo

we need to see gakpo play off a spot he might actually prosper in.

I don't think there's that bad a performance int his lot if they can actually get it together and actually shoot/cross and stop abdication responsibility.

salah should join henderson, fabinho, milner and the other can't run won't run bench.

Gapko is a winger. Compare the previous winger we’ve bought, Diaz and compare his impact from day one. We’ve bought Nunéz and he scores goals and has the pace to run and go past people. What are Gapko’s attributes? This might come across as mean but I’m not sure where he fits in?

Well I think we can all agree it's not as a no 9. we need to give him the time to improve though.

I'd rather work on him and hope than watch salah right now. a bit of a sulk on the bench would do him to world of good.

On the subs thought both Nunez and Fab (in particular) were awful but personally thought Henderson was ok with the proviso that again we started a high press when we are pretty ineffective at it these days .
Thought Thiago was the worst of the starting 11 as he just constantly gave the ball away .
Coote was as normal ****ing awful in every way .

I wouldnt hold my breath waiting for Salah to be world class again. He'll no doubt improve a little bit again, he goes through spells, but he's not been his best for over a year. I don't think he's going to be one what he was again. I think he can and will get better again, but he won't get good enough to be a one man team for us...

All part of the plan, don't worry. Klopp's grand plan to make the players hungry again and for the media to love us as the come-back kids next season.
