F.A. Cup 5th round - Norwich vs Leicester

I have to say I will admit to being ignorant about Bamba. I've heard of him, but know nothing of him. I guess if Leicester were at least in the play-offs, I would of taken a keener interest.

 

from what i've heard from a leicester supporting friend, he's been dog ****e all season so i can't fathom why they are now all rating him! he looked good when he first joined from hibs but since then he has got worse and worse. maybe he has recently hit some form...

And all the pundits said that Richie Wellens is the best midfielder in the league last season. Robbie Savage said it and he was playing against Wellens. So how can Fox be better?

Peltier is a better defender then Naughton but going forward Naughton is in a class of his own

Nugent is better then Jackson and about on par with Morison but i would say Nugent edges it

Mills is better then Whitbread. Mills passing is **** but apart from that a solid defender.

Bennett Is this the same Bennett you just signed from Peterborough. When you think of Peterborough, them having good defenders isnt the one of the first things that comes to mind. Bamba is class and has proved this against world class opponents.

Holt and Beckford are different types of players. Beckford is about pace and Skill while Holt is about strength and hardwork, Beckford proved with Everton he can cut it in the prem while Holt is proving now he can hold his own in their aswell.


Hoolahan is better then Danns
Surman is better then Dyer

 

When would Bamba have faced Benzema? Surely they can't be bigging up a performance in a pre-season friendly?!?!

Both sets of fans thinking their clubs are almighty and each set thinks their side are better than any other

 

2 season's ago, we were better than any team in our league. Last season, we were the second best team in the league. This season only Man Utd, Man City, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool have been better than us. We have every right to think we are a very good team.

 

League 1 is a walk in the park for any half decent team.

If we swapped leagues until the rest of the season, we would get in the play-offs from where you sit, and you would nosedive just like Blackpool did last season.

Been trying to avoid joining in with the pre-match 'banter' but these two made me laugh

Two things I find amusing about this. One, 'Robbie Savage said it' is possibly the worst argument I have ever heard, especially as he played against Fox as well and two, if Wellens was the best midfielder in the league last season why can't I see his name in the team of the season?

I know Fox isn't there either, but then no-one has claimed he was the best midfielder in the league, just that he was one of the best and better than Wellens

Whitbread is a solid defender AND he can pass, therefore he is better than Mills

 

He also didn't cost £5m or whatever ridiculous fee Leicester paid for him.

Its no coincidence that our defending has improved since whitbread got back in the team. Him and Ayala look like a partnership that could be strong for years to come.

Its a shame that their partnership has now been broken through injury.

 

Last time I looked Leicester are 9 points off the play offs and Norwich are 8 points off the Champion's League.

As for your other point, Norwich fans don't think they are almighty, we're just happy to be on the up, with a club that is unified at all levels and pulling in the same direction.
