So you think we will only sell an extra 1,200 tickets in cat A games without any extra tickets elsewhere? I assume wumming then.
There's no way an extension would cost £25m, you could almost build a new stadium for that. The Etihad extension was built outside the existing stadium from scratch and hangs over the top of it, it was a new build, not an extension, you can watch how they did it... http://www.mcfc.co.uk/news/club-new...ity-announce-second-phase-of-etihad-expansion I'm confused by this £60k a season in extra ticket sales, it should be £125k a game in extra ticket sales, not £60k a season?
Would a stadium expansion have any impact on other events coming to the stadium, such as concerts or U21's, International Rugby etc?
No I said 60k extra tickets a season if we increase capacity by 10000 which would raise £3 million gross based on Cat A prices, but net would be much less than that
I doubt 35k would & part of the reason we stopped concerts was we didn't sell enough tickets to make it pay
No sorry, I'm still lost. Forget 10,000 seats, if we were to expand the ground it would be an East Stand Upper and that would be 5,000 seats. Those 5,000 seats would give us an extra 95,000 tickets a season for league games alone, which at an average £25 each would be £2.375m.
Can I just ask? If we were to extend the east stand, to mirror the west stand, how many more seats would be available, 10,000/5.000? I really think if we are in the premier league for another 2 years and seem pretty stable, I think the council should maybe spend some money on making the stadium bigger, or maybe sell to the allams.(or has that ship sailed) I really think in the next 5 years the KC stadium will be extended, without doubt!
sorry I just read this, isn't 2 mill what we would be making with our name been hull tigers over 2 years! ...I know it's not upto Allam but this would seem like a better alternative to me in the long run! espcially if the council are paying for it!
I'm sure we can only increase to 30,000 or have I made that up? Anyway, how much would this cost to build? Especialy with the rumours (probably bull) of allam selling he's hardly going to make any long term investment plans is he?
On the KC Stadium OWS it says - Future expansion of the stadium will be possible to raise the capacity to 30,000. There was some suggestion that a second tier on the North and South stands could take that to 35,000, but I don't think any detailed plans have been done(probably just speculation). The closest I can to a realistic cost are the Swansea extension costs, they were expecting to spend £15m on new tiers on two sides of their ground, adding an additional 10,000 seats, before it got binned due to an EU investigation into their original stadium development.
Without going through the whole lot - we can add so many seats in the south stand without having to build, maybe other areas too. I'm not sure what additional total capacity would be? Then of course a second tier on the East stand to mirror the West. You need to really be looking at that scale for a PL club, if we can stay in this league for a sustained period, then there is no reason why we couldn't fill a bigger stadium.
It was the Allam's who mentioned the 38,000... http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/ALLAMS-WANT-BUY-KC-STADIUM/story-11954216-detail/story.html
I reckon we could increase it by a few thousand by parking little, blue three wheelers around the edge of the pitch, or if they're too pricey, deckchairs.
We sell out most games and for the bigger ones could easily sell several thousand more tickets, the ground's definitely too small.
blah blah blah.. all I see is useless speculation, purely because HCC own the ground. I really reccomend the AA ****s off to Melton like he promised - to build a new ground.
Things really do change its only a few months ago you started a thread on how **** our season pass sales were.
