I just cannot believe this - what on earth is wrong with some people to actually want to do something so horrific for zero gain?

I can't think what it must be like to lose someone to something like this. I worry about my GF - she's always at concerts; next one this Friday. And my best friends were at Manchester Arena just 3 days ago. It's all very worrying.

Oh, and please ban Patty from this site permanently. How many chances has the twat had?

Haven't heard it said elsewhere, but apparently it's the 4th anniversary of the Lee Rigby murder.

London’s Victoria Coach station has been evacuated after a suspect package was found this morning.

Met Police confirmed they were now investigating, with Buckingham Palace Road reportedly sealed off.

Saw a 'Breaking News', about a suspected explosion as I got in bed last night; was bushed so fell asleep. Awoke this morning to this and totally sickened. There is no rhyme or reason for any of this, it's just evil. Those poor families, no words get there.

I know what you mean - with my GF being at a concert this Friday night I know I will not fully relax until I know it is over and she's safely back home.

I never ever worry about myself; only about those closest to me.

They're not winning at all, you can never start to think like that.

Truly awful. Can't imagine how terrifying it must have been for those there and those who had loved ones there.

These things hit home so much harder when it is a place you've been to many times. I've said before that it is the 'perfect' place for that kind of thing. There are indoor, public 'vestibules' between the exit of the arena and the outdoors. Anybody can get into those parts without a ticket or security checks.

Got to feel for Ariana Grande a bit too. Thousands of people went to see her and many won't ever go home. She's going to feel pretty awful. Hopefully she can take some solace in the fact that she made their last moments happy with the joy and entertainment she gave them.

It makes life generally pretty scary. Anything can happen at any time, anywhere. We can't let it stop us living our lives and being happy though. Stand up, be happy, don't let them win.

what we need now is love.
Not suspicion, division - what we need now is love.
Not hate and fear, blood and tears - what we need now is love.

In a truly horrific night, there's some fantastic, heartwarming stories coming out of Manchester, from people opening up their homes, cab drivers turning off their meters, hotels making free rooms available, not to mention the outstanding work of the local hospitals. Well done Manchester.

This is truly shocking and my heart and soul goes out to all thos caught up in it.

What I can't get my head around is that someone has an issue with governments/politicians/religeons or whatever they are angry about and therefore decides to murder a load of innocent random people in revenge!!

Don't forget the police, often maligned, who were first on the scene not knowing if there were further explosions to come, followed closely by the paramedics and ambulance crews, all doing their jobs despite the potential risks.
