Explosion in Manchester

Sounds like it's a real bad one. Waiting for the death count is horrific. <rose>

Was just coming to post that, seems even more serious than I first thought.

Bomb disposal squads just gone in. Police now treating as 'possible terroist incident'.

Like you I'm dreading the final count.

The North West Counter Terrorism Unit is treating the incident in Manchester as a possible terrorist incident, sources said.

Senior national Counter-Terrorism officers are assembling in London and are liaising with the Home Office.

Early estimates put the number of fatalities in double figures, but these are very early stages.

From their point of view it's the perfect target. Their goal is to get a reaction and targeting kids will do that more than anything else. Absolutely sickening.

Easy target too.

Like you say it's ****ing sickening... worse thing is this can happen at any time in any City.

Truly frightening.

Some parents now tweeting photos of their kids who they can't get hold of...

****ing hell, imagine what they're going through right now... with no information :(

Seeing the photos being shared on Twitter by relatives unable to find loved ones is heartbreaking

I don't mind admitting that tears were flowing when I saw that. Can't even begin to imagine how heartbreaking that is.
