Are you two suggesting that Britain is NOT the softest touch ? Why do people come towards the western most point in a continent for any other real reason other than money ? - as has been said - there are plenty of ' safe ' countries in between if it was to flee ' enemies .'
Has it ever occured to you that a lot of these people are from Commonwealth countries so Britain would be their obvious choice?

I could go along with that. Like I said, I've nowt against anybody coming here to work & would be happy enough to get rid of the sponging British bastards, put them on the ships too. My mate Donna, from Birmingham, her granddads both fought for this country in WW2, they came over here on the Windrush in the 1950's. They took jobs that nobody here wanted to do back then & grafted their arses off. That family made a success of themselves along with many others. Like the Indian & Pakistani shop owners, Jewish tailors & jewellers. Nothing against those people at all. However there are 1000's of asylum seekers stomping around our town & cities as if they own the place, running drugs, smuggling girls into prostitution & taking over ogranised crime. You darn't say owt to them in case you get a knife in the ribs.
