Was LewisWDC also El_alonso... and names to that effect who spammed the place a few weeks ago, He/They also had a beef with you, although they were taking it out on the whole not606 board so I didn't quite understand their logic.
No - el Bando said the spammer was someone else - but he got a permanent IP Ban. LewisWDC is (in the least offensive way) a 12 year old kid who needs to grow up
What on earth is going on here? I thought they were growing up but it seems the litterbug-kids are still at play. This sort of behaviour will damage the site's reputation and dissuade those whom I hope most of us would prefer to exchange views with. If the so-called 'WUM' troll chucks his garbage here, surely it is unwise to continue a public slanging match by throwing rubbish back? - It makes the whole environment messy doesn't it? - After all, they hope and expect to induce a similar reaction from their audience. They are deliberately doing it. They have not yet learned to interact as respectable adults. Surely rising to their bait is likely to keep them fishing in the same place? If one sees an obviously dangled line, from a childish little rod, don't bite! After a while the silly boy (it's rarely a girl) will either move downstream with the rest of the trash or upstream to some proper and interesting debate where he feels respected. It may take some effort but remember: respect is a two-way thing!
Anything blatantly "WUMy" gets deleted, but theres a line of free speech on this board which is hard to moderate. I don't want this place to be known for permanently deleting topics, but when one guy posts the same junk 30 times in a row (not an exaggeration) its only right stuff gets deleted. Ideally (as you say) the best way to deal with this kind of thing is to completely ignore it and not post any response to feed the trolls
BLS I thought were deleting all the WUM stuff, so it's just to keep them at the top for you's. And besides, calling LewisWDC a prick removes all the anger built up in the day!

I've just reported him to Mick and Syd so you might want to avoid doing that. If they look at his profile and see you've given him a volley of abuse you could be in trouble too.
