Dara O' Briain is not bad,Bridges ok and the Geordie with the long hair can raise a smile.
As for women comedians, don't know many bar that Glasgow bird, brilliant and ahead of her time.

Ross Noble is a comedian only revered by spastics. He is like a hippy Russell Howard, and Russell Howard is only appreciated by **** students. The same is also said of Bill Bailey who is mainly popular amongst pretentious, quasi-intellectual, half-breeds, and ******ed ****s who can play 3 chords on a guitar.

Greatest comedian in the UK, past and present, without a doubt, is the wonderful Roy Chubby Brown.

Jip, close the thread. The LYT have spoken.

I seen Chubby Brown a few years ago, even though you're probably taking the piss the guy is funny.

Not really. I find his crass, sexist, racist humour quite appealing. Seen him about ten years back. He basically just abused women in the crowd for 2 hours.

"...I took my wife out last night...it was a great left hook..." <laugh>

He can be funny and not always dirty as per samples above.

Was that true, the Bradford show thing after the fire?

Chubby's Great. "Sorry I'm late Ladies and Gentlemen, they were having a who's got the biggest cock competition in the pub next door and I wanted to see who came second."

Looks down at 2 young ladies in the front row, "did you two come together?" They nod, "I wish I'd ****ing seen that!"

I've never really watched any of his stuff as it repetitive and going to actually see him live would be tragic but I googled to see some of his jokes and some of his tweets made me laugh - the ones about scousers mainly!
