I'd be happy with Davies, but I think the Allam's want a Premier League player, so I expect a loan. Personally, I'd bid for Wood(though there's rumours that both Millwall and Leicester have both now had seven figure bids rejected), I'd also keeping trying for Graham. I now think bidding for Campbell would be a waste of time.
I expect Wood to go to Leicester and I think MON is being very strange about Campbell. Davies has scored 9 this season in a crap side, I would like him and he would be cheap, although I agree I think the Allam's want big quality to come in.
If they want a Premier League player, surely all we are going to get is a has-been looking for one final pay-day before he retires. Or an untried young kid on loan? Neither of which is ideal. Surely, if we have a big budget to throw at this, we need a CURRENT Championship striker who is CURRENTLY banging in loads of goals. Having read about Austin this morning I'd dangle a few mill in front of Burnleh as see if they bite.
Do you think Bruce would allow the owners getting involved in transfers? I agree with Strovolos, there don't seem to be that many PL strikers willing to drop down who would actually be worth going for.
I don't think he'd let them tell him who to go for, but if they tell him they'd prefer to fund a Premier League striker, I'm sure he's happy to go shopping for one.
I don't think Graham is a wet dream, he's playing ten to twenty minutes off the bench most weeks, if Swansea are looking at additions in Jan, he won't get a look in.
I think we've got a really good chance of getting Steve Davies on the cheap, heard Bristol City are in £41 million debt this morning! Wouldn't be my first choice but if we could possibly offload Mclean and maybe get Davies and someone else
Bristols Davies was quality against us. Think we'l prob go back in for Graham (on loan) depending what Swansea do in January and What Campbell/ Martin o neill decide to do.
