    There may be a problem at the start of the season if Sordell is in the England U-20 squad for their World Cup, as their first group game is on 29th July and it's in Colombia. (see the FA website)

    Just looked at the FIFA website, and even if England get knocked out at the Group stage, IMO very likely as they're in the same group as Argentina and Mexico, the last game is on 4th August and the season starts on 6th, so he'd definitely miss the 1st league game and prob be rested for Carling Cup 1st round. If England make the KO stages, it'll be even worse.
