Our aim this season was to stay up and we're well on course to do considerably better. Our aim next season should be a top 10 finish and anything extra will be a bonus. We're only a few signings away from having a very good side. Imagine when Gosling and Ben Arfa are fit and fighting for a midfield berth and we get a new striker and winger. Plus the players in the team now like Simpson and Willo who had little or no PL experience will be even better next year. Top 10 next season and then after that we can think of Europe. Let's not get too much too soon. I can't wait until next season thinking of the quality we could have in our side.

For me the summer window is key to our chances next season and there are too many what ifs attached to it. If we keep Enrique, Tiote and our other key players and spend the £35m wisely we have great reason for optimism and can expect to finish in the top half pushing for europe. But if we lose those key players and the £35m isn't forthcoming or the replacements/new signings are duff, or take alot of time to fit in, we may struggle. Like i said before it is far too early to predict anything yet.

the scout has done no wrong yet

Rather we make sure we're 100% safe this season before thinking about next year.

Seems unlikely we'd get relegated but you never know with NUFC! We're 8 points from 18th at the moment. Once we're mathematically safe then we can think about next year.

If we stay up (which we probably will quite comfortably), then next season the aim should be to avoid second season syndrome and try to improve on wherever we finish this season. Maybe a cup run as well. A lot will depend on what signings we make in the summer though and whether we can hold on to the likes of Enrique, Tiote etc
