We definitely need a defensive midfielder, an enforcer who protects the defence and who quickly links play by accurate passes to Tom Hudd and others. Someone like Roman Neustädter or any good Makalele type player. Add another winger or attacking midfielder and some defensive cover and we should be OK.
-Livermore who given the recent interview looks like staying -Backup GK as Harper doesn't give the defence confidence -Young CH for rotation with Chezzy and Davies with injuries etc. -Experienced CDM to allow Thudd and Jake more freedom -AM to replace Koren -RW more technically able than Elmo, I'd love to get Redmond -LB to replace Figgy, have Figgy as backup and loan Dudge to a good Championship side Given that some of these can be loans and frees and that we don't need strikers we shouldn't have to spend too much.
No mate, we need someone better who can interchange with Jelly and Long. We still have Aluko and Sagbo on the bench neither of who (imo) are up to this level but whereas Sagbo is content with his position Aluko will be off like a shot if he is offered regular first team football somewhere else. Others will have different opinions of course.
