The main problem is that views are taken as being polar opposite and attacked - on both sides. It takes two to have an argument. As an example, for some reason (i can't fathom why) one 'side' is being accused of wanting 'average' players. I don't think I ever heard that said by anyone on this forum. Wenger rightly gets criticism if he makes mistakes. If he signs an unproven player and he turns out crap (Squillaci) then he has made a mistake. If he signs a proven player and he turns out to be a failure, then he has made a mistake. Conversely if a player turns out to be quality he gets praise. There is no argument to be had on proven vs non proven, world class vs not world class - they are just labels. What is being said is quite simple - he failed to find a FB in January and subsequently we suffered. Whether a player better than TV, Djourou, or Coquelin was available or not is complete speculation (again on both sides). Simple really, and I am not sure why criticism is treated by some as such a terrible thing to do. It's only natural that more criticism would be flying about now because we have not won anything in so long, and in reality we've been going backwards.
