Morning chaps. Im off to the game tonight Anyone else going? This is a massive game for us. A win would see us probably go out of the relegation zone and put some daylight between us and Exeter. Looking forward to it! COYB!
HUGE game tonight i am still not on the side of waddock i think he still needs to be more pro-active during games but fair play to him and the players they are doing all they can to prove me cynicism wrong 7 points out of 9 from the last 3 games, 10 from 15 from the last 5 suggests that it is happening. Tonight though is crucial. With Walsall away to sheff weds - who have the momentum of a new manager and the aspirations of automatic promotion you would have to think that a home win is likely despite walsall doing well of late so a win would pull us out of the relegation zone and a massive confidence lift. However, how many times have we been here before??? Decent results followed up by inept performances so lets keep this realistic we know what is to be done, and keep everything crossed that the result comes our way. Sadly i won't be there, i was at uni in plymouth and this had been a regular visit but alas no more, where abouts are you based devon?
I fancy ex Colu player Jamie Cureton to bag a hat -trick tonight, sorry Ian but thats the way i see it.
Hmmmm, wonder which team will turn out tonight! As much as I am enjoying seeing the new recruits change around our fortunes, it does feel somewhat false that we are getting results on the back of players from other teams. It also feels a little like if we give Waddock enough goes, he will eventually find some decent players. I am still somewhat miffed that he hasn't got the basis of a decent squad that belong to WWFC and who knows what too expect next season when he is given the reins again to go and sign a load more freebies! Yes, I know i should be bouyant after our recent run and I do actively support the team when i attend. Just something doesn't feel quite right!
We're on a good run but I agree what with Gravey and Slasher are saying. I've enjoyed the recent results and performances as much as anyone but I do feel a bit uneasy about A) the upturn in form being largely due to non-WWFC players and B) the fact that we have been here so many times before where the consistency comes crashing down around us at a vital time. If we win tonight I will almost start believing that we can stay up and the final few weeks of the season promise to be exciting. But it doesn't solve the longer term problem of the quality loanees disappearing and leaving us back at square one. As for tonights game, must be the same team and formation that has worked so well in the last 3 games assuming everyone is fit and available. If this approach gets us out of trouble then Waddock will have proved some doubters (including me) about his tactical nous wrong. Enjoy the game devonblue and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it.
cant be there tonight, but hoping we can get something out of it. in terms of all our sucess coming out of the loanees, they have been a catalyst for our current players to step up, as mccoy, beaver, bloomfield and others have looked streets better, so its not just down to the loanees
