It's the fact you think he should be one of our two top targets for the new season that I find odd, that kind of suggests to me that you think he is going to have a big impact next season and I personally disagree with that.

Another great example of the fickleness of football fans - Liverpool fans are now suddenly knowledgable and have opinion that can be trusted when it suits us, but I'm sure up until this point they had next to zero credibility on here. I wonder how many of them have actually seen him play? And it was the under-19's tourney that he was supposedly brilliant not the under-21's, I think that was Maceo Rigters who was brilliant at that tourney - and what happened to him?

well ok, maybe they aren't our top two targets - i just put that to begin a debate! i do think both would be excellent additions though and would give us yet more strength in depth in two key areas and both are exactly the sort of personalties and age who would be perfect for the clubs future. lansbury would be competition in the middle of the park - always vital and pacheco would be a younger version of hoolahan. i see no downside at all to signing either player this summer. if the majority of norwich fans demanded a certain player play more often yet for some reason doesn't, wouldn't you listen? i'm not sure why but you really do seem to have a bee in your bonnet about this... its just a suggestion - they might not be on the radar but judging by most posts on here they would both be welcome additions

I don't know quite you're getting at Sid. Just because he's a fans' top target doesn't mean we expect him to have the biggest impact

It's one thing to have idiot Liverpool fans who take the piss, it's quite another to have Liverpool fans talking about their own players. We know what he is capable and it is fairly positive, that would put him top of our list. He has played at Carrow Road a few times, the fans love him and he gets on really well with the Norwich squad. It shows you a lot when he asked to be part of the squad at Drury's testimonial. Pacheco would be a far better acquisition that a player that hasn't been at the club before or a player who may not have the right mindset. Lambert knows what Pacheco is about, he has been tried and tested in training and on the pitch with the Norwich City team. You never know what will happen with a player who hasn't played for Norwich. Just look at Huckerby, initially at Norwich on loan, he loved the club, the fans loved him and he played well. Then we signed him and you know the rest.

To be honest Sid I think the Morison issue has been debated enough between Norwich fans, next season is a new season.

Regarding Pacheco definitely think he has a future, the fact he made such an impression in a dozen games shows how well he was liked, I agree with supers don't see any negative factor to the move, think he is a tidy player who would flourish under Lambert. Lansbury again I think is another example of someone who can flourish under PL, providing his wafes are fair enough.

players that are capable of unlocking doors like hoolahan and pacheco are hard to find. when one is available, and we know he would jump at the chance to join the club, you've got to be in the market for a player like that.

Wonky, sorry mate but why shouldn't I judge players based on last night? Everyone else is. When was the last time anyone on here actually saw Pacheco play? So everyone is getting excited just because he turned up last night! <ok>

It was an end of season game. There was no competitive edge, no one was really trying. On many occasions attackers were getting through defences too easily then were having snap shots without passing to someone in a better position. The game was also not as fast as it would usually be. No one was really trying. Ward briefly played left wing at one point! He would never really do that in a competitive game.

I, like many others, are judging him on his performances for us last season as well as his attitude towards the club, fans and players.

I think without Morison we would have got relegated he got us some big points by he is frustrating who I think[/QUOTE]

Chris Goram did a stat attack on that subject a week or so ago, Morisons goals earned us 7 points, so relegation wouldn't have been a certainty! That is always assuming that no one else would have scored if he hadn't been playing, so it's all a bit academic! Just thought I'd point that out!

You're judging him on his performances a year ago? How come his name hasn't come up in the transfer windows this season? I assume by that that you are judging him on last nights game?? Also are you suggesting we sign players who have nice attitudes?? I don't think that's the Lambert way!
No offence Wonky, but I can't agree with you!

There was talk of him last summer but then he went on loan to Spain and he was still there in January. Since he was at the club I've wanted to sign him. I didn't refer to a nice attitude. The Lambert way is young and hungry, Pacheco has really shown that in his attitude to the club. He is the sort of player Lambert likes, as shown by the fact he signed him on loan last season. Lambert doesn't want to sign players with big egos. I feel Pacheco would fit brilliantly into the club, as I've already explained, the players get on with him and he is a good player.

All we have to judge Pacheco on really is his performances for us last season. Lambert knows what he can do and what he is like.

No one player kept us up, our 25 man strong squad kept us up, you can't go allocating points to certain players. That said I'm very glad Morrison is one of our 25. pacheco would be a bit of a gamble but the talent is there and it won't be a very expensive deal. With a limited squad size we are going to have to start thinking one out one in I think Lansbury could replace crofts.

I don't have a bee in my bonnet about this at all, and I actually agree that he'd be a useful addition if we could pick him up for virtually next to nothing, absolutely agree with that.

I'm just highlighting some double standards and perhaps being a bit more realistic with my expectations of him than some others on here <ok>

That stat was a result of a canary call caller, who was saying the same as Wonky. You know, "get off Morisons back his goals saved us from the drop"!
I agree with you it's totally pointless, if you see what I mean!?
And with that comment, I will conclude my posts for a few days, I'm off to Monaco in the morning for the GP. <VROOOOM>
