Did anyone see the comments from Ben Turner (I think) about Cornelius?

Apparently he was a bit of an oddball and it seems just never settled in at the club.

Talking of Turner, he was on the bench for one of the non-league teams the other week in a televised game. Can't remember who it was though offhand.

Edit.
It was Buxton.

Was reading earlier that at some point in his career in China, Bothroyd had heart treatment.
Seems to be more and more an issue in sport.

It was Japan not China remote, not that it matters.

I think the heart issue was pretty recent at his current club, but I watched him a lot a few years back streamed live on B365 when he played for Jublio Iwata in the J2 League - he displayed some awesome skills like this...............

Jay Bothroyd was quite simply brilliant - an overused adjective to define footballers; but in his case totally justified.

Very true. Shows DJ had good man management skills where others had failed. Bothroyd was great for us such a pity he had to be subbed off in the Play Off Final and then left the ckub.

Believe he was our only full England International (ie the only one capped whilst playing for us).

Very skillful player and such a foul for the likes of Chops and McCormack.

Good times.

He missed a pen earlier. <doh>

I was looking in on the Wurzel board at the time.

They were 1-0 up and when Bentley saved that penalty, they thought it was Christmas. Well it is, but you know what I mean.......<laugh>

Easy with hindsight, but I'd have kept Danny Ward - a right little terrier now playing for the Terriers - our loss IMO.
