Jeez! I know it's been said before that we've got to stop this cherry picking, even thieving & I appreciate how difficult it is being outside of London, Manchester, et al but I don't get the feeling that the board, ever put up a real fight. RK has provided us with our best 2 Prem finishes ever - surely there's a case to splash the cash, keep him & see where he could have taken us. We seem to just roll over, take some cash "benefit" & move back to the black box. Can't see progress from here - sorry guys. Very down <doh> :headbang: :emoticon-0101-sadsm

The board did all they could to keep him, they just weren't prepared to pay £7 million a season for his salary. There really isn't much more to it really...

I've only just stopped spitting when Poch comes on to my TV....will have to invest in some more wet wipes.

Always watch MOTD on playback and FFwd thru Poch's ramblings. Looks like that button is going to be getting some more action.

I know I will have to get my coat after I say this, but this still may not be a betrayal, but a development from active flirtation with his agent. i.e. Ron says he doesn't want to extend, Saints say OK, you can go now if you won't extend.

Now he's GONE off i can tell you that the reason for our slump before Xmas was that Koeman took the opportunity (no cup games) to book a holiday and sack off training. In fact he constantly sacked off training to go and play golf in Portugal whenever he could. He gave the players that time off as well. The staff raised an eyebrow and were not v happy with that kind of discipline. Poch would have had them doing triple sessions and remaining focused in our most important fixture pile up. No wonder he left when we got European football...lacks ambition

Did anyone see this on Saints Web? Another poster said it was genuine and it also fits in with another comment I saw saying that the players have been told the club are going a new way forward from next season and it won't be such an 'easy ride' presumably a lot more in-club discipline.

I have no idea if it's true anyone got an insights?

I heard some similar rumblings from a friend who works with a few of the players. It seems he gave them too much time off around Nov/Dec (if that's even a thing) and also tore relentlessly into Matty Targett at HT during the Leicester game, the ferocity of which a lot of the senior players took exception to. Certainly had his favourites

No need to worry about that ex-manager dude.

These things almost never work out. It's a psycho girlfriend situation. At first you are flattered that she broke up with her boyfriend and is showering you with attention and gifts instead.

It's only later you start to realize that no normal person acts that way, and the difference is not in the degree with which she loves you but her mental instability.

Moshiri is going to expect the world from his new manager, and when he can't deliver it he will be sacked and it will be on to Moshiri's new infatuation. I think the guy he hired is pretty solid and all, but if I had basically decided I was going to hire the best manager in the worldth and money is no object that's not the guy I'd pick. Or even close.

Those twats down the road splashed the cash,I'm very glad we don't.
No need to be down,if as it seems he's left us for money we're better off without the greedy sod.The club will get it right then onto excitement again.

I'm not trying to go against the board at all, I genuinely don't see it as clear cut as you and many other here do.

I also think to an extent he has gone against his word, that's his choice and we don't know the full reasons, if its money then so what.

I find your comment of this constantly being raised as slightly disingenuous, ut is a forum and you and others are raising one side of a debate, me and a few selection of others are suggesting alternate views. Nothing wrong with that, I thought that is what this forum was set up for.

I don't often post as I work c. 14 hour days but I read everyday, and I do see this from time to time on here, and that's one of the other reasons I don't make time to contribute. Its like politics really...

You may see it as unfair, but frankly I find it very odd that a few of you seem to be determined to "go against" the Board. Making the point is fine and good for debate, but I find it very strange that there is such a strong will to keep raising that, to (in my eyes) keep trying to pin it on the Board.

It's my opinion that the strong will is odd.

We seem to constantly seem to get it wrong. MP, Toby and now RK we were told were staying staying, signing etc.. Why are being told this by the board, they seem dillusional!!!!!!! Bloody annoying
