Premier league money and our European football will attract good players. The managers name is not as big a deal. I believe ward-prowse had to google Ronald Koeman for example. Names in football don't get much bigger, but you soon forget how young these players are.
Where the hell did the bookies get that list of names from !!! Didier Deschamps now that would be a interesting choice, France do terribly in the Euro's he will be looking for a new job for sure. Other than that I guess we trust in the board to get it right and look forward to another rollercoaster season Saints style. Never boring being a Saints fan for sure
Several people have said De Boer is not for them, without a reason. I'm not saying he's for me, but any of you who said 'not for me' care to add your next sentence. That always makes a better read. Didn't you listen at school/college/Uni? Give your answers and a reason
Mane. Others tied down that we want to keep. I bet he is pissed off he tied big Fraser down, their keeper is like the Sunderland version of SKD...
And none of those £10m players are anywhere near as good as Sadio. Anyone can pay that much for a player, but not everyone can pay that much for a Mane...
It's a no to AVB and Howe from me, but whoever we get, will just have to trust in the boards judgement. Not sure who I do want.
I just voted for AVB as I didn't realise who unai emery was. I'm now wondering why the heck Everton didn't go for him instead of Koeman? He's either not going to join teams like us or he's holding out for a move to Saints, the team he followed as a youngster!
I don't think Eddie Howe would be the right guy for us, even if we could get him........... Although I accept he is a good man manager etc I just don't think he is a Saints man and does not have enough experience for the next stage we are looking for IMO. Our trouble is perhaps (being a bit of a senior citizen) We were used to having managers around for a few years. However since Mac left we have not had a good steady manager for any length of time. ((We have had a few crap ones) Having learners is ok but it did not work for us and trying to do things on the cheap did not help. If they have to get a replacement I just hope they get someone who can maintain and improve but I don't envy them trying. Also they will need to pay the right money to lower the risk of teams being able to whisk managers away just to get a bigger Salary not to mention a decent length of contract. I am still finding it difficult to believe that RK was/is willing to give up all he has built up over the last couple of years for a team of Everton's Standing. Just to start again...........things aint adding up for me they really are not.
There is just something for The Cherries and Eddie Howe that clicks imho. And totally agreexwith your last comment as well.
