In view of seeing one or two of Adam Blackmore's tweets on here I went over to his Twitter account. Blimey, he doesn't hold back, does he.? One fairly innocent comment about Nicola Cortese I found that was tucked away and interesting:

Without crowing I did tell you all your manger wouldn't be hanging around. You all fell for him telling you what you wanted to hear.
No shook players dont like him.
Considering what he did for saints league position it's almost a step down going to Everton but never believed he will coach a big team like Barca etc as he doesn't have the man management skills for them

Well Cortese did set it up. But he just let his ego take over and he lost his way.

Whenever a manager leaves you're always going to have players(usually on the fringes) who will be secretly pleased. So that's not really a surprise.
Ron never came across as an arm around shoulder type of manager either, so I doubt he formed the kind of player bonds you see Mauricio have.

That is insane. Never known a manager to take international breaks off unless they are involved with a country in some capacity.

I am quite happy to see saints do well but Koeman is and always will be an A hole and hopefully next manager can do well or even better

But he saved us and at least left us in good fettle. That puts him in my good books.

They might get out their group just depends how they play. They weren't too inspiring against Holland last week

Pissing off the academy isn't just a few fringe players.

Agreed - pissing off the academy can have long-term effects on the first team, long past Ronald leaving his original 3-year contract.

I'm not getting this academy chat. I thought people were saying yesterday that the issues went beyond just Koeman.

Is it simply a case of them not getting training and playing time?
