Seems to be a split here between those who are interested in what happens to ex-City players, and those who consider them "dead to me now". Thought a thread may be of interest to the former and the latter can ignore it.

To start us off - Shaun Maloney has done one at Hibs. Always rated him, think he's got a great football brain to go with his free kick ability. Hibs have got rid after losing twice to Hearts, although his overall record is isn't bad (even spread on WDL stats), the team were struggling before he arrived and they've had numerous injury issues in the squad. Ironically when the previous manager was sacked, people criticised Hibs for not giving him enough time, now Maloney's had the boot after four months. They seem to be emulating Watford.
 
I noticed that last Friday, Greg Olley got FOUR assists in Gateshead's 6-0 win over Guiseley. He then followed that up with a goal in the 4-2 win over Darlignton. Matty Jacob also got an assist in that game.

Their striker, Cedwyn Thomas (23), has 22 goals in 35 games and their other striker, Macauley Langstaff (25) has 30 goals and 13 assists in 42 games. Unsurprisingly, Gateshead are about to win the National League North.

I know a couple of lads with season tickets at Gateshead. Longstaff is a right handful and will do well next season if promoted. They’ve got a good team down there.

Very similar to Callum Jones. Probably not going to break through, but will do alright further down the pyramid.

I thought Olley looked alright, probably should be playing in the football league.

Andy Smith is doing really well at Grimsby which the top end is probably just as good as the bottom 6 of League 1.

Pre season will be interesting for the likes of him and Jevon Mills

Not quite as Oldham’s game was abandoned due to the crowd with them 2-1 down. You’d think they’ll forfeit it though?

Hadn't spotted that, one to watch in the coming days. Don't know what the rules say but you'd think it would be given to Salford.

They managed to re-start the game behind closed doors once the crowd had been cleared from the ground. Oldham lost 2-1 and were relegated.
