I can't be 100% sure he was trying to get a reaction, but if you watch his celebrations he is constantly cheering to the crowd then looking over his shoulder in the way he's going, which ends up being directly towards Suarez. He then jumps into Rio's arms, and has another sneaky look over Rio's shoulder, then sets off in the same direction. Ref intercepts him, probably to tell him not to do anything stupid, he points in the same direction and carries on. And lo and behold, after heading in that direction (which was perpendicular to the way he'd have gone had be headed straight for the tunnel) he ends up right in front of Suarez, a few seconds before Suarez was about to enter the tunnel.

He may not have been trying to get a reaction, but it seemed to me like he was making 100% sure he was able to jump right in front of Suarez, right in front of the Stretford End. It then looked like he was going to try and walk alongside Suarez, continuing to wave his arms and get the fans going all the way to the tunnel, before the ref pulled him away. Maybe that's just my interpretation of it, but all Evra's actions looked like he was trying to rub the victory into Suarez face and, understandable as that might be, I found it pretty distasteful.

Good interpretation of what happened after the final whistle but i can understand why Evra did it. His emotions will have been high at the time.

Piers Morgan who openly admitted he listened to hacked voicemails while he was a Fleet Street hack.

I thought it was childish of Evra but quite understandable considering his handshake had been rebuffed. It is not a big deal but when the clubs have come to an agreed arrangement it is poor form to then use it to get one over your opponent. The clubs could have well agreed not to have it which would have been fine.

Back to the celebrations, can you all remember Martin Keown jumping over RVN like some madman after the whistle at OT? So childish for a grown up man and yet I could understand why he did it at the time.
