I take it that the millionaire whose daughter was involved in the looting will lose his house, too?

So because he owns his house, that makes his daughter's actions ok?
The poor will be evicted for their children's actions, but the rich won't?

    Sounds about right! <laugh>

He's not talking about evicting all of them, those that have previous for trouble making in the area.

Some kids were in the area, saw some clothes on the street & took them. They have no prior convictions & no trouble in the area.

Some kids went with the intent to riot & loot & have previous convictions, history of trouble on their estate & previous trouble with the family - it is these he will be helping councils to evict.

The evictions will be done inconjuction with the council and based on any reports they have of the family.

I said before, I don't believe the rule is right but he's talking about kicking people out of their houses for rioting in their own area. It is afterall up to the councils and not Cameron himself.

There's no indication if this kid had previous convictions or if there was trouble with the family in the estate before, but like I said they will leave this area and move elsewhere.

So they have to go to a B&B, not stay with family or friends before they get rehoused. Gotcha.<doh>

Getting evicted isn't even that bad.

You live in a 2 bed council house in Hackney........you move to another area (possibly better area) & move into a new property through that local council.

But as someone else as said, parents are punished for their children's truancy, so why not rioting?

Well of course this would be said if you're getting evicted. Then again "This could have been the ****in ****er family in the estate that everyone hates and gets on like total pricks."

True. We don't know the previous **** this lad or his family have been in. I'm guessing they aren't basing this simply on the rioting but think of the *****s and murderers that get government handouts.
