Who gives a s**t what happens!!...well apart from every supporter in the land to see how their pre season team looks, it is massively important for the manager and coaching staff also, friendlies are the most important games to the start of any league season, get this wrong and you will end up fighting for religion and not promotion, Friendlies will give GT insight into lots anomalies that may be thrown up, like what formation do we start the league with?, who is going to be in the starting line up?, who isnt fit enough?, how are our players gelling?, do we need to make some more signings?, who is underperforming? who is playing well?,who is carrying injuries?....you know little things like that....would you really like us to start the season off without having kicked a ball?....so its important that we get a few results under our belt, if only to give the players some confidence in which to start the campaign...
