Absolutely incredible band, superb noise from just a few people ... ... so glad to have seen them even if the singer was quite rude to me
They were on at Rock City, just as they were breaking big and on their first UK tour. It was a total sell out and the atmosphere was crackling hours before the gig. They'd done the sound check, the crowd was in and the band were backstage. Little Zach decided he had to have a book he'd left on the tour bus and the head doorman asked me to get him out of the club and onto the bus. Once we were outside I thought I'd have a bit of chit chat and asked how the tour was going. "Do you think I want to waste my voice talking to a f*cking doorman?!!!? I pretended I hadn't heard what he'd said and made him repeat it. He did, but louder, so I laughed and said 'heard you the first time mate' End of conversation
Hahaha. Tremendous! What a proper little princess...'waste my voice' just politely conversing with another human who is doing you a favour. He literally blows his voice box out every time he performs. Fair play, mate. Sounds like you dealt with it appropriately
