You're entitled to your theory TMT but to me it doesn't make sense.

1st game of the season important for a good start but it doesn't mean that's how our season will go.

Look how many teams have started well and then got relegated or started poorly and then gone on to win the league.
 
We changed managers notsosmart that's why the season changed besides the circumstances were totally different then.
Under normal circumstances King I agree with you but last season with City and this season with Everton I see as different.Take beating City at City for instance. Crouch scored the winner to put us in the CL and then the following season scored the winner that put City through to the CL. Yes these coincidences happen but at the moment it's omens etc. I say if we beat Everton by 3 or 4 goals an excellent season will follow. Let's agree to disagree because I'm on this site for goodwill and nothing more ok.
