The Merseyside Makems will be up for this one and Newcastle's away form has to be somewhat of a concern until there's some evidence of improvement to indicate otherwise.

Newcastle sit in 7th while their hosts occupy 15th. The home side have taken 4 points from the last 6 available and Newcastle 1 point from the respective number of games.

Newcastle will go into this game feeling confident following a well earned point vs Manchester City at home and Everton will feeling far better following news of their takeover and a solid win vs Crystal Palace.

The last time Newcastle played at Goodison they lost 3-0 and for whatever reason they've been struggling in general on the road for quite some time.

Your research is again lacking, this "solid win at Crystal Palace" was when they were 0-1 down, and Palace had over twice as many shots as them and over 60% of the possession. And Palace are one of the worst teams in the league right now.

We haven't been "struggling in general on the road for some time" because our away form has been good ever since mid January. But let's not down down that rabbit hole again, you're just wrong.

Anyway, 1-2 to us I think.

I can only assume you're not watching away games. I established that last season when you bet Newcastle would finish 5th, took a bet and then didn't honour it. Regardless the manager acknowledges the issue and that's the main thing.


The prediction you've made isn't beyond the rhelms of possibility.

I had various avys and usernames.. only had an issue when I forgot I had so many in play... doesn't bother me in truth changing it or him welching.

Ultimately I can just take pleasure in knowing I defeated him.

I'm not changing my name to that as it gives the impression you're right, which your not. If it doesn't bother you then stop waffling on about in.

I've never changed my name and the suggestions were ****e so none were worth changing it to.

I was right Newcastle finished below 5th ? That's why you lost the bet.

What you're doing is being a sore loser and giving excuses for not changing it... BTW you're not supposed to like the name and avy I give you.

We lack the minerals to go to Goodison and get a result imo.

Yeah, I do like debates with stats and logic, but generally it's just been going around in circles lately with the away games stuff etc.

Noted, I'll quote him less from now on, it's all a bit repetitive and pointless.

Let's talk about football then, I hate Everton, and hate the way they always manage to get enough points to just scrape staying up. They always get those points from somewhere, and this game may be one of those places. Urgh.

It's a tough place to go Everton. They're always up for it.

If they're in a rut they'll go for their own players, but as Roy does point out, they just got a win and a takeover announcement. I think they'll be well up for it.

I don't have the confidence away from home that our lot can stand up to it.

Don’t honestly think there’s is ‘good’ or ours ‘horrendous’.

For them I wouldn’t necessarily want McCarthy, Osman or Mirallas. For us we did have ‘good’ players in Debuchy, Colo, Tiote, Cabaye, Remy and Ben Arfa.
