Lingard has been a great player for some time but rarely gets the recognition. He is never afraid to hit the ball when given a chance. He should be first choice, in my opinion.

Evening lads, according to a certain mouser we don't post enough on our matchday threads to make us real supporters.
Any thoughts on imaginary red cards, yellow cards, penalties or hand balls not given?
If not just carry on as normal <ok>

We played really well second half tonight. We should do it more often!

Baffling we don't, it really is.

We did play well in the second half, Rashford and Martial seem to have lost a bit of speed though. Tiredness?

Getting a bit fed up with Jose going on about no No9s, we have Rashford and Martial that are quite capable of playing there and Wilson (who is rapid and back to his best) who doesn't even make the bench.
He has his eye on another striker (no idea who) and is making his point to the board that he needs the money for him, Jose's MO I'm afraid.

Do you think we are really missing Valencia going forward, without him we are so one sided everything goes down the left.

That's that resourcefulness problem again, or lack of. Martial is skilled enough to play that number 9 role. Good feet and has good eye for goal. That team has enough players to fully compete on any given day regardless of injures to one or two players.

Just checked...my stalker is now starting matchday threads on the United board but hasn’t managed to start or contribute to one on the Chelsea board for a while. He’s a very odd, clearly lonely, old weirdo.

The Scholes vs Jose argument is funny, you can see that Jose wants to let rip but keeps complimenting him as a player because he knows the fans wont like it. Jose wants to get involved with everyone at the moment, needs to leave it alone and get on with the job.

Fantastic strikes from Martial and Jesse! Pogba also looked more motivated than in the last game - a reaction to Scholes' punditry comment that he was "strolling through"? What an arse Mourinho is for using the post match interview to attack Scholes, pointing out that he has won more trophies and Pogba earns more money, blah blah.

Scholes has a point, Pogba needs to be running games now. It's his job to grab things by the scruff of the neck. More of yesterday please.

Mourinho should just ignore pundits, who are paid to say this sort of thing otherwise they serve no purpose.

Luke Shaw playing his way into the team, which is very good news. We need a right back of similar ilk to back up Valencia as Shaw is with Young.

Tony Martial, he came from France,
The English press said he had no chance,
    50 million down the drain,
    As Tony Martial scores again...

United fans away at Everton today

I love Tony Martial! He is absolutely underrated in the league. He makes things look so easy with his ball to feet techniques. I don't think Mourinho should interchange him with Rashford because they are different players in my opinion. Rashford is definitely quicker but is less thoughtful with the ball when he has it. Martial is more of a complete forward player and should compliment Rashford rather than compete for same position.
