Gomez hasn’t played a lot of football in about a year and a half, I think it’s to be expected

A couple of things, has Carvalho been sleeping with every other players wife, a number of times he's been wide open and the pass has gone the other way.

Lovely interchange in the first 10 minutes between taa, elliot and salah, why does trent then think the best thing to do it start hitting long aimless balls forward.

We actually have a creative midfield, it would be nice if the centre backs decided to use them rather that constantly trying the long ball wide.

For those writing off nunez, he's played less than two games, get a ****ing grip.

In last seasons we would go long much earlier to hit the fast lads as deigo would love to say and were happy to lose the ball trying. Mane and salah would be running beyond.

We want to pass it short, get it back, pass it wide get it back blah blah.

Nunez needs balls payed early. The end. We bought him we should know that.

Diaz needs to run the right full channel. We glue him to sideline and deep. Most of his work is take ball and run back amd back pass. The rare time he gets it in good advanced place he comes alive.

Salah is just completely out of it. The left full channel runs are gone. Remember spurs when mourinho sat on his hole never opened his mouth first half but the second one cb left salah run he was up screaming. Salah is not running his channel.

Elliott is a head down player. He's on the wrong side for a cm so he is not really seeing some of the passes he should be able to make forward. Takes him a while to get it down.

Trent isn't arsed tbh. So lax it's unreal.

Carvalho wasn't given the ball. No passing coming there cos vvd was passing to tsimikas or to Diaz. Everything came back.

Hump the ball at numez and Diaz

Bit early to be writing Nunez o
Maybe that's why he's playing, so they can keep an eye on him. Also partially explains his dodgy knee...

It's lack of trust. The cbs are worried they will give it away and they will be run.

Gomez has played it at Elliott who was clearly closed down and that led to fabinho getting elbowed and a clear chance.

Gomez has suicided balled to fabinho with two men on him amd coughed up another chance.

Vvd just playing safe and only ball is lofted easy to closed down ball at Elliott as trent no longer runs on.

We need to go direct here. 3 forwards to aim at and coady swanning about back there. It's not rocket science.

The Elliot bit it's nonsense mate, he's not a head down player at all and he's constantly reading the game and space on the pitch and keeping the play moving. Not been his best game today (yet).

Lampard hasn't reported to the absolutely disgraceful stuff yet. They could come out second half to time waste now.

Pickshite took 2mins over an offside on about 30mins.

So far their only cheating has been snide elbows and stepping up on the free kick walls. Time wasting amd face holding is coming.

He is a bit mate. He can play a lovely pass yes but he's missed 3 or 4 rather obvious passes having his dribble so far today alone.

He's a hard worker but he can improve on this as a cm. He is still a young winger learning how to play cm and the early ball is what he can add to his game imo.

So we moan when we've got a workmanlike midfield, we play a more skillful midfield and the answer is to play like Burnley?

    No.

If they cannot actually play through the lines (and the evidence is they can't) then go direct to stop them getting set.

We can't just hoof it when they are set obviously.

It's hard to play through the lines when you never get the ball.

First 5 minutes lovely interchange, next 40 hit it long and wide.

Your answer to our issues hit it long and straight?

Our strengths are 2 really good channel runners in Diaz and salah. They can't get a run.

We have another lad who wants to run behind in nunez

And now a guy who will come short in firmino.

Use the short run a few times but always look for the ball into the space cos people should be running into channels firmino opens

The ball needs to go into midfield so they can pick the pass, play the ball into the channels, constantly ****ing with it at the back the hitting it long is ridiculous. Equally not ****ing will and just hitting it long us ridiculous.

We need to actually use the midfield.
