I don't think anyone will dispute the players gave full commitment. That's not the issue. Everton dominated second half and deservedly won, nothing fortunate there.

I was in favour of Monk taking over as the players needed to show more commitment/passion/effort and we have seen that in his first two games. My concern is that Garry himself has not shown commitment or passion for this game.

I was referring to the management in this instance.

We are improving. Passing is quicker and sharper, players fitter, working harder and full of passion, desire, heart, commitment and belief under Monk.

If Laudrup put out that line up and we lost 3-1 daiswan , you would have attacked him without mercy for weeks .To see you hunt for a way to justify Monks decision speaks volumes.

Yes we were far more competative. Its a shame Laudrup will not be here to reap the rewards of a season long strategy. He would never have conceded this game so easily.

The way we were playing under Laudrup we would have lost this match with our best available 11.

Valley did you watch the game today, or did the smoke in your cave blind you.

From the progression under Monk, maybe ML should have been sacked sooner.

Yes, and until Taylor's error we played very well and matched Everton. Monk'a tactics were spot on. He can't be blamed for Alvaro missing a sitter, a bad mistake from Neil and a penalty.

Stop being rose tinted because you are pissed we kicked Laudrup out.
Today' performance also showed that the squad is fully committed and behind Monk.

How very true. He'd have been slaughtered. We just need to remember that Dai is wearing his rose-tinted spectacles for a while...until he loses them and then Monk will be in the firing line:emoticon-0126-nerd:

Are you trying to be a fool valley or are you just one. Imagine Monk fighting injuries against the best teams in the league, try to be serious

What, just like we lost at Old Trafford? Come on Valley, you're starting to sound like Dai.

We were completely toothless and gave the ball away regularly. To bring Lita on was dreadfull as was playing Jazz Richards, simply not good enough at this level.

Oh yes 1 win in 10 games was Laudrup's legacy before he was sacked? But since winning the Capital Cup trophy 12 months ago, Swansea have only won 8 of 35 Premier League games, and lost 18. ....................<laugh>

How have our results faired against the top 6?
As for sounding like Dai, with regards to Laudrup, unfortunately he was spot on.

Gendros even though there is a split in this thread, all posts are on topic, and all opinion's so far respected, no need for snipping and irrelevant comments.

We have been extremely competative against the top 6 given the number of injuries this year.
