Wouldn't miss it for the world. I enjoy visits to both Liverpool grounds. Course you get a better class of piss taking with Everton. And we often come away with something from Anfield!

Bertrand did fine in as part of a three last year (more than fine infact). So if you're going to down that route, I'd have Bertrand alongside Fonte and Yoshida, and McQueen at LWB.

I'd also imagine that Redmond is certain to start, after having yesterday off.

 

We're a bit **** at the moment, so by the laws of football that means we'll probably win.

With the unbelievably tense and negative atmosphere at SMS recently, (where has "the Spirit of Southampton" attitude from the '90s gone?), I can see us playing with a lot more freedom away from home.

 

I doubt we have mate, the way the fixture landed on the new year bank holiday has made it a lot harder for some. I know it made it almost impossible for me, plus the fact I might be going to Liverpool anyway for a semi final a few weeks later

Really want to make sure I get to Goodison before you move away as like you mentioned earlier it's a proper old school ground, reason I did White Hart Lane last year too Hoping the fixture comes at a better time next year.


As for the game, I actually think we will get something. Even before these games I would of said WBA at home was harder as due to the way we play at the moment, a lot of posession, no bite etc. it's actually bread and butter for a Pulis side to come away too. Whereas you have been indifferent of late and Ron will be expected to attack a fair bit at home which could play into our hands. No coincidence that our best recent performance was away to Bournemouth where they attacked so gave us some room to play in. I reckon an entertaining score draw.

 

Yeah a bank holiday Jan 2nd date in Liverpool is a tough away from the South Coast, so I reckon you'll have probably only taken the bottom tier

Make sure you get up at some point though mate, a night game at Goodison is something quite special

We've been ok in spells of late, but we're way too inconsistent. There'll be a number of changes of personnel in Jan, as Koeman builds his own side. A draw is probably a good shout tbh.

 

Everton banker for me tbh. You will want revenge on us, plus we never get a result at Goodison. Genuinely can't remember the last time we won at your gaff.
