Just browsing the Gallery and I noticed that Ryan Bertrand was wearing the Captains arm band, I saw VVD removing it from Joses arm as he was being helped off.

Yep. MOTD actually did some analysis around the topic of Tadic. They couldn't just leave it there though. They had to fear that we'd lose Koeman next season. Again.

Funny that they never fear that WHU might lost Bilic. Or Leicester lose Ranieri. Or Bournemouth lose Howe. Or Stoke lose Hughes. Or... well, you see what I mean. We are still the perennial titchy club even though we're valued as bigger than most in the PL.

I didn't watch the game, I heard the majority on the radio, but it sounded typical of recent displays from saints. Just failing with the final ball.

Tadic is brilliant one on one and always manages to make himself some space, but I think Schad said it best in that he is too intricate with the final pass. That's great when it pays off but sometimes he needs to be more pragmatic and put the ball in an area which is going to cause the defense issues and then the ball might break free to a saints shirt, like the Manè goal.

 

We want the tooth the whole tooth and nothing but the tooth.
