Not pretty but we were the better team in the 2nd half, had we done the same for the first 45 minutes we might have stolen all 3 points! A gritty performance, and happy with a point after that horrible first half
Yes!!!!! Not the best performance but a point away from home against Everton is a very very good result
Overall perhaps we deserved a point. We were pretty poor, but so were they. I was very disappointed with Everton. I'd read all these reports saying how they weren't the old Everton but a new slick, smooth, attractive team. No, they're the same hard-to-beat industrial bunch they've been for the past ten years. If they finish fourth there is something very wrong with English football. Worried about the injury to Ruddy.
In all honesty, pretty poor performance-wise. Second half was better though and really good to see Bassong get on the scoresheet. Thought Everton showed more class than us first half but we were resilient enough to hang on to be just one behind. That always gave us a chance second half. Would want to see more from us though. All in all, Everton are 5th in the league. They have been really good this season and so for me (especially away) it is definately a point gained.
Not sure you can blame the ref. 1-1 about a fair result although maybe Everton edged it. Thought the ref was poor for both teams all game, very whistle happy.
We've now started winning our home games and not losing the away games. We've racked up 12 points from a possible 18 from in a run of six matches including Man Utd, Arsenal and Everton. Can't complain about that really.
I assume you mean because the free kick for our equaliser was not a free kick. Probably not, but you still have to defend it. It's not as if he gave us a penalty for no reason. That kind of decision happens several times in most matches. You didn't win because you weren't good enough to finish us off.
he was ****e as most refs have been for us, but he didn't cost us the points today. Tim Howard not catching a 30 years long ball in the six yard box cost us.
Poor goalkeeping and defending by Everton. Its a shame we didn't play very well because the 3 points were there to be taken. The cross on sight policy adopted by both sides was really grating on me. Everton were crap.
