this is going to be a tough game for us, I'm glad fellini is banned though for our chances. Everton are unbeaten at home this season; although we have been playing well and are on a good run now, a draw would be a fantastic result for us make no mistake. we had two entertaining games against them last season Good to see Everton mixing up the top 4, i hope they can stay there.
I wouldn't be surprised if we lost on one hand to be honest, we keep shipping goals (one clean sheet this season against united on the opening day) whilst you've been solid for the last four games or so, conceded two goals is it?, but then again, we've only failed to score once this season. Most Everton fans liked James Vaughan, always a good talent and its just a shame he had so many injury problems, he seems to be doing well for Huddersfield though. Magic. I think as long as nobody's an idiot/WUM then everything will be ok I'm a bit glad Fellaini's out myself, with him in the team, due to his size then I have to admit we have a tendency to hit it long to him when things are going wrong, but in the same breath he has so much talent he can change the game in an instant. we're unbeaten since march at Goodison park when we lost to Arsenal and have lost twice in the last 30 or so games. I'd hope for a win at home obviously but I think it will be a draw. Glad there's no objections to the thread.
I think with Fellani and Neville and given our recent form and finding a formation which appears to work against the classier teams (and I include Everton in this) we have a decent chance of getting some sort of result. I can see us winning the battle in the middle of the park but I can also see Jelavic nicking a goal. Possibly another 1-1 as our formation has sacrificed a bit of attacking ability for defensive solidity (not a criticism just an opinion).
Good news for NCFC, Ruddy seems to be in contention for Saturday - Norwich boss Chris Hughton with some good news on goalkeeper John Ruddy ahead of his team's trip to Everton on Saturday. He tells the club's Twitter feed: "Ruddy is fine, he's trained with Dave Watson and we'll make a decision on him before Saturday."
i don't think anything has officially been said, so it might just have been rumours. certainly CH seems to imply there was something
Actually thinking about it he did cop a shoulder full of Scholes' boot as he slid in on him during the final throes of the game last week. He looked to be in a bit of discomfort, but nothing a good old rub down wouldn't have sorted out.
I recall Scholes sliding in then patting his head in an apology, but I don't recall any reaction from big John!
You're right Dave, but I sit just behind the N&P (River End) goal and there was a slight collision in that Scholes' knee hit JR on the left shoulder, but nothing serious.
Ruddy will no doubt have the game if his life against us. I'll let you know who'll be fit for us, Moyes only tells in the press conference on a Friday. 1) Saturday’s game will be the 200th Premier League match at Goodison for David Moyes as Everton manager. The Scot has won a total of
104 so far, suffering just 46 defeats. 2) Leighton Baines is in line to make his 300th career league start. Of those, 159 will have been with the Toffees. 3) Last time out at Reading was the first time Everton have ever fielded a starting XI of full internationals. There were nine different nationalities involved, with only England represented more than once. The first time we fielded 10 internationals in a starting line-up was as long ago as August 1985, on the opening day at Leicester City. On that afternoon, Derek Mountfield was the only player without a cap.
 4) Everton are 4 goals from 1000 premier league goals.
referee for the day is Mike Jones who has refereed 8 Everton games ( 1 win, 5 draws, 2 defeats) including the controversial 2-2 draw with Newcastle this season. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/everton-fc/schiedsrichterdetail/verein_29_628_gesamt.html He has overseen 7 Norwich City matches ( 1 win, 1 draw, 5 defeats). http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/norwich-city/schiedsrichterdetail/verein_1123_628_gesamt.html
Michael turner is very doubtful with a shoulder injury, that'll be a blow. Ch confirmed in the pre match pressie
Foxy appears in the calendar of doom in Dec so expect him to disappear soon ! Only ones I can see going are Vaughan,Ward and possibly Foxy can't see us having the funds to do many changes and ins are going to cost more than outs if we are improving quality
I don't think Fox'll go to be honest. He offers us something different, and unless Lambert comes calling, (and perhaps I'm underestimating other teams scouting networks) he's not a particularly visible player for us when he does play, so is unlikely to have caught the eye of many teams. Having signed for us for a pittance too, his wages are probably comparatively low too. If CH starts tinkering, I could really see him holding his own in Johnson's position. I'm hoping whilst he's been out of the first team he's hit the gym to add to the physical element of his game. I'm probably being too optimistic because I like him though.
