It's one of those games where we could get turned over, picking over the bones of this one will be pointless I'll be glad once it's done and hopefully we'll have 3 points.

I don't think anything is clear at this point there are teams below 6th who could push for it and teams in the top 4 that could drop out with a bad run. It'll be very different come January and a bit easier to predict.

Exactly. This game is no indicator of our general form because it can go either way. It's just such a shame we were so bad recently that we really can't afford to drop points again.

who would you think is most likely to push into that top 6? I would agree certianly that top 4 is in no way secure for anyone.

Yes this period up to mid January will pile on the games, but i just don't think any of the sides from 7th down (everton included) will end up higher than 7th as none have performed or look sort enough as sides to do so.

Utd look more of a side than everton or west brom or southampton for example. they've not scored enough... none of them have at this point but utd have more goal scorers in them IMO. I think everton need 5/6 new players to push on form where they are. Gueye was a good start, lukaku is a very good forward, baine and colmean are good full backs but they could improve a lot of things.

Usually Form goes out of the window for this fixture. But both teams have had 3 different results in the last 3 games (W1 D1 L1) so god knows what's gonna happen.

Yes that's the worry, I'd rather this game came in a run of form, if we lose you just brush it off whereas now it does have more of an impact due to recent form. Even if we lose though, position in the league wise it is not going to be the end of the world.

We will have to put up with Tobes though.

It would take a change in form for Everton but they are capable as are Southampton, especially with Utd being very fragile.

I think that southapton lack goals and now only long is fit. I think they will continue to struggle to get goals.

I don't know about everton but i just feel that they lack legs in defence and midfield

@saintKlopp . Expection has been high,we started the season with tough games, and yet we are robbing shoulder with teams at the top of the table. If we are able to make top four at the end of the season and win a cup, to me that is a success and we can build on it.However, we must never assume that the league is impossible.

We won't win the title, but in my opinion we shouldn't give up hope completely. 4th or 5th will probably be our final resting spot.

    each game brings 3 points.

We are on 34 now which is actually 1 better than 2013/14

if we win one of the next 3 games we will be better than 2013/14 as well.

that year was marked by a 11 game winning run.

In short at some point we will need to go on a similar sort of run, not necesarally win all them but not lose and only draw one or two. After all 6 points is the deficit and we need to close it.

This is the best season we've had for years, we should celebrate that (a little)

I hope we can it at end of janaury being in contention and in final of league cup and still in FA cup.

Nothing is guaranteed, obviously, but I'll be mightily pissed off if we don't manage top 4 given the way we've started.
