Actually Spurs are more experienced in terms of getting-fighting for the top 4 than Everton are, this is new territory for Everton to still be in the mix for the top 4 come this stage of the season. You can mark this down, we're getting that 4th spot, in fact, even depending on how your results go, 3rd place is still a small possibility.
That assumes that they will make the group stage. With their low european seeding that is far from certain. They would be in the second seeds for the plyoff round and looking at a 2 legged tie against the likes Napoli, Athletic Bilbao, Bayer Leverkusen, Porto and Galatasary (based on current league positions) If they were knocked out theyed get around £2M and then get put in the Europa. It would also increase the broadcast pool money for the 3 (or 4 if Celtic make it) remaining british clubs. Financially, It could be better for Liverpool if Everton qualify instead of Arsenal.
Without doubt, I'd prefer Everton to get it. I have nothing against Arsenal, I've said that I'd prefer them to win the league if its not us but that was taking the assumption that Everton wouldn't have a chance of the title. However, I think Arsenal will get fourth.
This is a tough one for me, part of me knows I'll love it if Everton get close and their fans start to dream....then they miss out The other half though knows that Arsenal don't deserve it for the simple reason that top 4 has become their only ambition in life. Once they are in Europe they are a constant failure so the time has come to shake things up a bit. At least Everton would appreciate the opportunity and if they did get through to the later stages and meet us it'd be like a bye to the next round for us

How the **** don't we deserve top 4? Irrespective of how we perform in Europe, which hasn't been good, we still have managed to get 4th place, and you don't consistently get 4th spot unless you deserve it, getting top 4 isn't some simple formality, just look at your own team and how difficult it was to remain in the top 4, and then to get back in, and then look at United now how they've massively fallen out. I do hope next season in Europe you're paired with the European giants early in the competition, and then we can see how well you do, because if you get knocked out by them, then at least we can come and say Liverpool don't deserve to be in the competition the season after. While I admit it's not been good for us in Europe, we haven't been exactly getting knocked out by nobodies, in 2 out of the last 4 seasons we've faced the winners of the competition, and the 2 teams who happened to be the very best, Barca in 2011, Munich in 2013 and 2014, if you think you'd fare better against them, then yeah, you know you're deluding yourself.
That statement right there answer your own question about deserving top four! You guys want to win the "top four trophy" each season and have a "we're taking part" attitude towards the CL. I hope we get those teams too because that is what football is all about but you'll not get a Arsenal fan with that mentality!

I'm one of the biggest critics of simply getting top 4, for me it's the bare minimum, but I want more, I'm saying Wenger needs to go come end season so we can move forward as he's taken us as far as he can, which is securing 4th spot and maybe the odd cup here and there. And we do deserve top 4, irrespective of whether you say we don't, the fact we've consistently earned top 4, means we deserve it, I don't know what invented criteria you're coming up with, maybe we should've given you 4th place over the past few seasons right? While you ended 7th or wherever, let's just hand our 4th spot to you, who didn't earn it. If you want to be in Europe to face the best and stand a chance, you have to earn it, simple as that, that's what we've done consistently, so we are very much deserving of top 4, and that's a fact. Also again the teams we've been knocked out against have been the very best, and if you were in our similar situation, the end result would have been the same, unless you really think you'd stand a chance against Barca in 2011, or Munich last year, or even that you'd knock Munich out this year over 2 legs.
Wenger is a frustrating manager, but he's far from what you call incompetent in a general sense, you don't stay top 4 on our net spend by being some incompetent douche, it's amazing how 1 good season for you guys already have you talking like your the kings of earth and looking down on Wenger. And indeed Wenger 4 life, who's managed to finish above Liverpool for the majority of his time at Arsenal, I think you guys have only finished above a Wenger Arsenal team 3 times.
you really want to earn it, do it by wining the title and not top 4 bollocks, that's how we have managed to get to 4 European cup finals and win them by being league champions
Think it's more important that we carry on picking points as Everton are only 8 points behind us. I think 3 more wins and we're pretty much guaranteed to be in the CL next season barring CL qualifier exit or Man Utd CL win.

Yeah, and when did you do that? Ages ago, if that was the criteria now, you'd never be in the competition, when's the last time you won the league, 24 years ago? So if you don't win the league this year, are you telling me you don't feel you deserve to be in the competition? Because that's what you're saying. No doubt, but wanting to smash a team, and what happens on the pitch are 2 very different things. Let's be honest, the Liverpool of 2011 would stand no chance in hell against the Barca of that time. Even the current Munich, with your defence, there's no way, you need far more than SAS to face the European giants, you look at City's attack, which is almost as good as yours, and that wasn't enough to beat Barca, so it's much more than just attack attack attack.
You always aim to do better so of course when we were out of the top 4 we aimed for top 4, but when we used to be top 4 we aimed higher
