Yes, money ruins everything. Their fans can't help it. They probably loved it at the start but feel quite apart from it now. Unlike the barcode horse punching twāts. They don't get it and probably never will
Absolutely no sympathy but surely the 'bigger' clubs are being scrutinised the same way? Clear to see Everton have been over spending. Look where its got them.
Amazing how quickly they've done this yet man city's investigation is now just swept under the carpet not mentioned for months. F**k the premier league.
Its really silly that this applies this season and not next. Everton will appeal and appeal and if they get relegated by less than 10 points, you just know the appeals will keep going and whoever finishes 17th will have no idea if they are reprieved or not.
Burnley, Leeds and Leicester have confirmed their intention to sue Everton for a total of £300million after the club were found guilty of breaching financial fair play rules. [Matt Hughes]
Good, we have to go in hard on teams breaking financial rules. It's cheating, financially doping and as bad as doping players with steroids. I hope they hammer City and Chelsea. Football needs to get its house in order quickly
Shambles this by the way. One rule for one and another rule for the others. Wouldn’t surprise me if most of the PL teams are cheating their FFP, how many stadium name changes has there been in the last 5 years
This! They need to carry on and punish all the clubs breaking it but will they? Guaranteed they are reluctant to punish City cause they are successful and win trophies.
Seems draconian to me. The total " overspend " is just over £20m . It's a lot of money, but I just don't believe that Abhu City and Chelsea at least haven't far exceeded that. Everton have been pretty stupid for years, so I suppose they can hardly complain about something happening. Never mind though, that six clubs broke their contract with the PL, putting the whole league into chaos at best, existential threat at worst. They were fined. I'd have kicked them out and suffered the short term consequences. But the short of it is that IMO, Everton were the perfect target. Big enough to make a noisy example of, but not big enough or rich enough to put the matter into permanent legal limbo, which is what City will do if it gets hairy for them.
Yep. Administration is the sin that never gets mentioned with Leicester, and others. A huge competitive advantage over clubs who try to do it right.
